Services
I was born in Vallejo, California in 1965 and moved to Calistoga, California when I was 5 years old. My family had enough to keep a roof over our heads and eat well with occasional outings, but if I wanted my own bicycle, I had to build it from a box of parts my father handed to me. After assembling the bicycle by myself, my father gave to me the first box of tools I ever owned.
BRING IN ALL OF THE BROKEN PIECES When your instrument breaks or falls apart, pick up every piece you can find. I will decide if the part can be fixed or replaced. Most often it is harder and more expensive to replace a part than fix it. Sometimes a part is unavailable. Let me decide the fate of broken parts.
I played my clarinet for two hours without pain after you installed the new Kooiman Thumb rest. Along with yourtechnical skill, knowledge of woodwinds, your patience with customers and attention to detailsare unmatched in the Bay Area! I can't thank you enough for all the adjustments you made to my clarinet that now enables me to return to playing after 35 years.

Awesome prices, awesome repair time, and an awesome repair guy! Anthony's been my go-to repair man ever since I started playing wind instruments, and I've never even considered going anywhere else! Very good service and trusted by many school band programs to work on school instruments.

I am a teacher and saxophonist and I recommend all my students to bring their instruments to Anthony's repair shop. I have seen him do some real miracles, both on my saxophones and others. He is a master old world craftsman and I highly recommend him. He is as good as it gets.

He helped cared about a student and her music. My daughter borrowed a Clarinet from White Hill band for her Middle School music exposure. The mouthpiece cork broke and she could not play it anymore. I called the Magic Flute, but I guess since I did not rent the Clarinet form them they never called me back. I called Anthony on a referral from a guitar repair shop in San Anselmo.

I explained that my daughter is just a student and it was a White HIll loaner instrument and he said to bring it in and I will take a look. We brought the Clarinet in he was very helpful. He fixed it at no charge so my Daughter could make practice the next day. This is a real workshop and he is very skilled dont be put back by his work space. My daughter was so happy as she really enjoys playing the Clarinet.

Thanks so much for your help Anthony. NOTE: The place is not easy to find don't give up. His shop is sandwiched between Dan Fix Landscape and body shops. Thanks, Anthony I forgot to ask your name my daugher and I are very thankful for your help.

Tony is so honest! He doesn't gear you toward having unnecessary work done. I took a used flute that I recently purchased to a another instrument repair place in Berkeley. The shop owner told me I need a new set of pads put in, and the cost was kind of up there too. I wanted a 2nd opinion so I came to Tony. Tony said the pads are still pretty new.

They weren't properly installed but he could "work them." And indeed that's all it needed. Now the flute plays just fine! I also had another flute that I have been playing. Similarly, it got adjusted at a very reasonable price! And now it plays much better. I live in SF. But I would not hesitate to drive to San Rafael again if I have flute repair needs again. It was totally worth the drive.

Not open when I went there. No store front. On a back alley near freeway fence.
