Last week I inquired about a vintage guitar amp they advertised online. Received a response from the owner the next morning. Good start! I had additional questions and sent a 2nd e-mail. No response whatsoever. I bought a similar vintage amp from a different online seller a few days later. They lost out on almost $2K as I was ready to buy if my questions were answered satisfactorily.

Maybe business is fantastic and they don't feel they need to answer questions or maybe they are the sterotypical "too cool" music store owner/employees. Left a bad taste and makes me think some of the other negative reviews are valid.

If you want a true vintage original guitar. These guys do not hold up to it. They don't research their guitars to see if they've been repainted or modified from the original state. Don't even bother!

Half the time I come here they're out to lunch. How can you run a business and be out to lunch at different times of the day. Then the time posted on their website that they close is incorrect as well. Who has time to ride all the way to this place, just to have no one there. No wonder the online stores are growing. Because we have to deal with Jokers like this.

I love coming here for every and all my guitar needs. Very knowledgeable staff, with amazing customer service. I cannot recommend this place higher. They have a guitar cleaning service, just three syllables "AMAZING"

Great selection of vintage guitars and amps. The staff was helpful and knowledgable. I called about an amp I saw on the website and my questions were answered straight away. They were very thorough in describing its condition, offered to send me more pictures and told me about some other pieces they had just acquired. Some of these vintage items are in the best condition I have ever seen!

I don't know what these complainer are talking about. I have bought a 1959 es 335 blond from Jim and it is a great guitar. I also bought a JTM45 and it is a killer amp and is exactly as advertised. I would say that this shop has some of the best merchandise in the country. Two thumbs up!

Worst experience ever! i have been playing, buying and selling guitars for decades. thought i could trust a store "40 years in business". but i was so, so wrong.why isn't there a Very Poor rating possible; i'd choose that for this store. i bought a $4000 gibson acoustic on line; mint in their words. when i got it i could not even play it!; neck was twisted!, strings buzzing, soundboard warped, scratches and dirt all over. yes, they would answer the phone and my emails but that's about it."when you buy it, it's yours. the minute it leaves our store it's all your responsibility". those were the exact words; i'm not making this up. had to spend over $800 to get the guitar set up and ready to play but because of the repairs it's no longer original and/or mint. so i lost about $2000 on the value + the $800 repairs. i did not get one penny from jim's guitar! staff is arrogant, twisting words and not honest at all (that's called 'lying'). did not get to 'talk' to 'Jim'.

Don't even know if he exists; if he is, he certainly did not do anything to solve this problem. The incompetent staff seems to be running the place.into the ground, if you ask me.
