I told Randy that I already got my amp diagnosed at Inner Sound and they said it was a bad transformer that needed to be rewound. Knowing this he still took my $150 deposit. After almost 2 months he tells me that the specialist he's contacted wanted a minimum of $350 and that he himself needed another $150 just to mail the transformer to this specialist for repair. And it seems like after he took my amp, he went from replying within 24hrs to replying only weekly. Not an honest person. Avoid at all costs.

1/1 CRAFTSMANSHIP: the keyboard I submitted for repair is in fact adequately repaired. 0/1 COMMUNICATION: unreliable 0/1 TURNAROUND TIME: unpredictable. 0/1 COST: unpredictable 0/1 ESTIMATE VS. INVOICE: I was quoted a 2-3 week turnaround at a possible $125 bill. Ended up being 7 weeks and $341. I wasn't informed of the extra cost and time and was therefore not afforded the option to decide against moving forward. The meeting point for both my in person interactions was at a truck stop. These are the bare facts of my experience. I empathize with the other 1 star reviews.

Had a Teac Reel to Reel repaired here - took weeks, but was done right and although the meet up and fetch was unusual, I'm satisfied with the work done. I'd recommend this company, but would warn things might be slow and delivery and pick up will be very unusual.

This is a great local shop that does ALL kinds of musical electronics repairs. I needed a warranty repair in a quick timeframe and they worked with me in a really fair way and did an excellent job. Thanks!

I've been hauling my Casio CT-650 465 ToneBank Keyboard around my entire life. It's traveled from Wisconsin, to Chicago, all the way to Portland. For the past 5 its had issues with the power turning on and off, along with not being able to access any of the amazing sounds it has to offer. Researching Keyboard repairs within the Portland area I came across All Service Musical and was charmed by Randy's personable and reputable website.

Almost immediately after contacting Randy we scheduled a time for pick up. Flash forward a few weeks later and my cherished Casio baby is like brand new! The power issue is completely fixed and I can now, finally, after all these years access the sound board! I am so thrilled and excited to start jamming! I highly recommend Randy from All Service Musical. He's super friendly, fast and affordable! Thank you Randy for bringing my Casio baby back to life! You rule!

VERY nice and over and above what was expected. First off, at check-in, your counter guy informed me of the back-log and also informed me to expect a 2 to 3 week repair time. Although I was missing my music, I was OK with the predicted repair time - as I know EVERYBODY is busy! You actually got my amp back to me sooner than I was expecting - so all is good!

Everything is working fine and the ole HK19 sounds terrific. I did have a frustrating issue upon hooking everything back up as my left channel high's (bi-amped system) was very very flat and low in volume. It took me a couple hours of trouble shooting - turns out the culprit was a bad patch cable from the amp to the x-over. I was just about to bring it back to you guys for a re-do.

Who'd know - a bad patch cable? Again, thanks for the great service! Luckily, I have rock-solid vintage stuff that rarely needs servicing (they don't make em like that anymore), so I doubt I will be seeing you again anytime soon - BUT, should something go foul on me - you are the guys that will "fix it up" for me.

I am going to be honest. My experience was not a good one. I brought my amp into the shop and paid the bench fee. They told me that it would be 2 - 4 weeks to hear back from them about the repair. Unless you know otherwise, you would assume that they would call about what your product needs to get fixed, just in case the problem is either too hard to fix or too expensive.

This is NOT the case. The timeframe explained on every document could not be further from the truth. I did not hear a single thing back from All Service for over 3 months. They have STRICT do not call policy. I actually talked to my wife about reporting it stolen because it had been so long. When they finally did contact, it was not to tell me what was wrong, it was to tell me I owed a total of 450 dollars, bench fee included for the full repair so I couldn't make an informed decision, and they never told me what was wrong until the work had been done.

I about crapped my pants. What business does this? This is well over what I felt comfortable spending, and it was a dishonest way of getting more money out of a customer. I complained and they took off 50 bucks, but that does not seem fair considering that they dropped the ball badly on their end and should have just charged me for parts because they do not keep their end of commitments.

I came into the store to pick up my amp, and they make you pay before seeing your product, which is another way to get you to pay. I told them nicely of my concerns and the owner just kind of looked at the floor and shut down. I started feeling bad for being honest. In the end, I did pay, just to get my amp back, while he complained that after his rent, he makes about 10 bucks an hour.

He charges 75 dollars an hour plus parts and bench fee, which is more than I have ever made. The only way this could be made better is by receiving a check for 250 dollars in the mail for violation of contract. I walked away feeling violated and never wanting to go back despite the problem with my amp being fixed. ENDING SYNOPSIS: DISHONEST SCHEDULING, LACK OF COMMUNICATION, MANIPULATIVE BEHAVIOR AND OVERCHARGING LEAD ME TO RECOMMEND NEVER USING THIS BUSINESS. You WILL be disappointed.

I brought my guitar amp here on two separate occasions. Initially I brought it in for an illusive rattle. When I dropped off they said it could take two weeks to look at it. I asked if it was possible for them to have it returned to me within a week. They promptly said yes, without mentioning it would cost an additional sixty dollars to expedite the repair.

After a week, I didn't hear from them. I called and they said they would have it ready the next day. When I picked up my amp I was faced with a 200 dollar bill and an amp that STILL rattled. When I mentioned that the rattle was not fixed, they showed no concern and said I would have to bring it back in and would still be charged for additional hours.

That was my first experience. I was naive to return to this shop with a power issue about eight months later. They repaired a multitude of old parts with cheap new parts that wracked up a bill of 400 dollars. It was unbelievable. In my experience, it seems that if you drop off your gear here, they will do whatever they want with it while being sure to reach as deep into your pockets as possible. I will never return to this horrible shop. Especially when the far better and honest Soursound is right up the street.

This place is awesome! I brought in my favorite receiver, a 40 year old Sansui 881, with two specific issues. A loud hum when turned on and the left channel was burned out. I called around before dropping in here and found super long waits at other repair places. Fred's Sound of Music was backed up 6 to 8 weeks and required a higher deposit ($90, WTF!).

I was looking to use this receiver in less than 2 weeks and that's exactly what I got from these guys. Fast turn around, good solid work, and I got my tunes back just in time.

Brought a tape deck in for what I thought was a simple repair. They took a $60 deposit on it which I was told would go towards repair. Received a letter back saying it would be $250 extra to repair because the part was overseas. Now this is on a piece of equipment that is barely worth half of that. I declined but was told that since they charge $90 an hour, I was not getting my $ back.

I will never bring my business there as one of their main competitors, Audio Specialties, will not charge for estimates if they cannot fix it. I told the owner that I thought $90 an hour for electronics repair seems to be excessive considering that the average wage earner in Portland likely makes a third of that. I think their business model is bad and does not promote repeat customers. At least not my business.
