Services
We are a small repair shop located northwest of Atlanta in Marietta, Georgia. Our customers come to us from all over the Southeast or ship their instruments from all over the United States and even from abroad. A move in 1990 to the warmer climate of Atlanta brought him to an area starved for experienced repairmen.
An instrument restoration service includes the following: Stripping of old finish, chem clean, dent removal, sanding and polishing to achieve mirror-like finish, application of finish (plating or lacquer), reassembly with fresh lubricants, replacement of corks, felts, springs, etc., valve alignment, and a play test.
There is no perfect musical instrument. Pros, directors, designers, accousticians, students, and manufacturers all agree. There simply is no perfect instrument. It certainly is true because we all constantly experience those imperfections and it has been that way for generations. But why? Why does it have to be that way?

Rich and team have worked on eight of my horns (seven trombones and one euphonium), and I'm super happy! The work ranges from routine alignment and dent removal, to major chopping and reconstruction (and everything in between). I do not hesitate to bring in my horns when they need the attention of a master craftsman!

A class act. From start to finish my experience with Rich was awesome. I asked him to repair and refurbish my Dad's old horn. My Father passed away last summer and I wanted to use his old horn to remember and honor him. Rich treated this process with kindness and respect. Fast forward, and my Dad's horn is back with us, and it is AMAZING. It is pretty much brand new and as if it never left the factory from the 60s! I'm so happy with the result, and can't thank Rich enough. I will go back to Rich for all my trumpet repairs and advice. You should do the same. Well done.

Rich and Victor were fantastically helpful to my son and I, who are "newbies" to the world of instrument shopping! They chose a number of instruments for him to play, and he fell in love with a fantastic vintage refurbished trumpet we purchased as upgrade from his Jupiter student model. Rich not only patiently shared very specific care instructions with my son, but also told us the history of my son's trumpet model, which makes it even more special to us. This horn should last him 30+ years, but we'll be bringing it back here for cleanings and any necessary repairs. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

I took my trumpet in to Rich Ita to get some repair work done to it. It was a used horn when I bought it. After he finished working on it, I didn't even recognize my own horn. It looked almost brand new. Rich fixed everything! He is very thorough with his work. I would highly recommend him, you will not be disappointed with his work.
