It's been a few years since I left my original Review so I figured I would stop by and see the new place. Welp. I arrived about 45min before the posted closing time here on Google and it was closed. --original Review. I tried to visit several times during posted open times but no one was there and the doors were locked. No notes saying they were away.
When I was finally able to make it over and the open sign was on I went in to check the store out an older gentleman came out and was very rude asking what I wanted. I stated I was there browsing and he said will I have a student and am closed please come back later.

Went in to have my daughter's flute repaired and they basically told me it was a piece of junk and wanted to know where I got it, told me I got ripped off. It was my grandmother's flute and has been our family for generations. another nearby shop took care of us instead and didn't insult us! This place is shady, stay away!

We are patrons of this kind and gentle musician with both purchasing instruments and taking advantage of his music lessons. Because he is usually alone in the shop, he sometimes will lock the front door while teaching a lesson (to avoid people coming in and not being supervised while he's in back), so if the door is locked and the Open sign is on, try and come by 10 to 20 minutes later!
It will be worth it, Vic has a vast knowledge of music and is a joy to chat with. In a big town like Portland, it might be considered bad business to lock your store door during posted business hours because you are in the back but remember, this is a local family-owned small business who's doing it's best to survive in the growing town of Forest Grove. I'd highly recommend this fun little shop.

Let me just say i dont write many reviews but a guy at my work told me to check out this place. I have to say the owner Vic was very knowlegable as well as just a nice guy. I had a guitar ive owned for about 20 years that i stored mostly its entire life in its case. I should have kept it at a proper humidity as i never had been told. He spent at least a 1/2 hour trying to adjust the truss rod which i had messed with trying to get a buzz out but i think my guitar will need more repair. I bummed out about that but just his time trying to help me without even a charge was priceless. I will be doing my future buisness with him.
