When someone embarks on a musical journey, it is possibly the beginning of a lifelong experience. Since many things can happen along the way, it is often wise to rent a quality instrument rather than make a large investment at the outset. That is why the rental program here at Music Village, serving the Beaverton/Portland Oregon area was established.
Music Village Oregon includes guitars and other string instruments in our rental program. The rental rates are based on 1/10 per month of the asking price of the instrument (minimum $20 monthly). An additional $2.00 charge is required for maintenance of the instrument. Instruments included in this program are Acoustic Guitars, Electric Guitars (when available), Banjos and Mandolins. A free lesson is included with the rental of any of these instruments as well.
When getting a brand new instrument check the connections where cork is, as most of the time the cork on new instruments a too big and needs to be sanded down. Make sure you put on cork grease before you try to put it together, if this is not done the student will force it together and bend the keys.

Fixed all three of my trumpets for a low price, fast. A shop in Portland said the valve work on my piccolo trumpet would cost a hundred bucks, the guy at music village looked at it and said its an easy fix. And he delivered, it sounds and works great. My total for 3 was less than that Portland estimate for one.

The tech there screwed up my rare gold plated tenor saxophone. he is the owner. took me 6 months to get it back with a part missing. he sent that to me. i sent the sax to saxquest and Mark Overton said the job was very bad and now I am out $600 and have to pay more to just get it working. He said wrong size pads were used. I am sorry I have went there!

Don't ever take your guitar there for service. When I picked up my resonator guitar today for simple repairs it was 100% worsened. When the man working was confronted about it he just shrugged his shoulders and made me pay anyways. I will never return and will continue to tell others not to as well.
