I brought my vintage 1980's Peavy T40, in for my yearly service.40 years late. I thought I should get a new ax, with how badly damaged it is. The dude behind the counter assured me they could fix it like new. These guys are awesome, rewired, replaced in/out phase switch, pickup switch. Even fixed the pickup guard and the pickup, which I thought was toast.
Set the string clearance better than when I bought. YOU GUYS ROCK! P.s. To the dweebs saying negative things, ask yourself would you lend $1000 to a non serious customer, for 5 minutes. And in today's society with gun toting wussies, you act like you won't be apprehensive? The dudes been there for alooong time for a reason. And was very help explaining why my recordings were sound to muddy/mid range. Owners cool, and staff rocks Boogie Music is the best, better the whorporate box stores.

Boogie music has been around since I was in high-school, maybe even longer. I purchased my first and only used guitar from here. I was probably 20 or 21 years old. It was a pearl white BC Rich Gunslinger. It weighed more than me almost. Boogie Music has a special place in my heart. After meeting my husband and dating for a while I came back to Boogie Music to trade my guitar in for some new rack unit gear for him.
I love listening to guitar, but didn't have enough interest to commit to invest time into really getting into it. Boogie was a hot spot in the music scene. A few of my friends in the scene had seen my guitar hanging for sale when I was done and got in touch with me letting me know. I had my first boyfriend and we were soon to be engaged and everyone was excited to come to the wedding. Good memories. To this day we refer them to friends and have shopped here for odds and ends. My husband is a pedal junkie and some of the oldies are goodies.

What is it with music stores? This is the third music store I've been to that not only requires you to wear a mask but insists you use hand sanitizer! This is a small mom-and-pop music store. The selection of guitars, drums, and other musical instruments is very limited, although you can order it through them online. However, most of this problem is due to the limited availability from the major instrument manufacturers, so I really don't hold it against them.
What I do hold against them is the sales person followed me around the store as if I was going to steal something. I walked in the "amp room" because I saw a Fender tube amp sitting on top of an 8 speaker (I think) box. It was huge and used. The salesman stood at the door while I was in there. Most of the stuff is used but you can place an order for new.
I didn't see new amps, just used. I purchased a few nominal items and left even though I am looking for a power source for my effects pedal, but decided I'll get it online. It's the 4th or 5th time I've been there and haven't spent more that $50 collectively over the years. I guess I can use them for emergencies like strings and such. Too bad. I really wanted to support this store.

I was very much insulted and Not treated like a customer Saturday when I walked in to have my guitar Repaired and Set up as I talked to the owner* I understand the harsh COVID restrictions that some people put on other folks because they believe they can*** but you lost my business as well as other musicians that I have told this to. Telling me Point Blank *** Put your mask above your nose- Don't put your sunglasses on my counter and Hold out your hands I have to Spray Them down * Is uncalled for even before we discussed what I was their for *** I come to you to be treated with respect and took my time to go to your store above many others that could do the same job*** If I don't receive good treatment before business I will not receive good treatment after*** I will not recommend a visit to this store** Good Day To You Sir***

A small mom and pop music store surrounded by the chain stores (GC and Sam Ash) offering guitars amps and drums plus accessories. Their specialty is their selection of quality Taylor guitars and was the first store to bring the Taylor line to PHX. Clint is a seasoned, very knowledgeable owner who takes the time to gift expert advice. After 2 visits I became a customer today and can't recommend them highly enough.
It's rare these days to find stores like this that go the extra mile and are not bound to corporate dictates and thus provide fair pricing and generous trade in values. Spread the word!

Just moved into town and I thought I just had an issue with a tuning peg on my 65 Gibson Hummingbird. I was wrong They quickly pointed out a few minor issues with the neck and fingerboard and were able to fix it quicker then expected. I'm overwhelmingly pleased with how they were able to fix up my tuning peg, and were able to bring my guitar up to 10/10 condition without having to change any pieces on the guitar. My guitar now feels and plays better then I could have expected. Very glad I wondered upon this shop. Won't be going anywhere else, that's for damn sure

I'm so glad to be working with the Boogie Music staff. I wanted to make sure I give my business to the right people, so I did some searching and it definitely seems that I've come to the right place. I really appreciate their professionalism and courtesy. It's so important to support local businesses and these guys are excellent. Thanks Clint for all your help!

The gentleman that's at the front desk is so kind, helpful, honest and knowledgeable. What a great experience we've had the 2 times that we've been in so far! This music store was a hidden gem as I did not know that it existed in my area I'm so glad that I found it! He takes his time to measure my daughter for her new violin while servicing the current violin with care I don't know an honest price- far beats the competition. They will have all of our business from now on. If you need any help with current instruments or new instruments or even rentals this is the place to go.

We have been renting a Cello from Boogie music for 3 years and couldn't be more please with the service we have had. Their policy on rent to own is fantastic! Another child just started with the trumpet so I dug mine out of the garage and brought it in for a tune up. We agreed on a price, and it was sent off. It took about a week and when it came back several things that were not discussed at first had happened to repair my trumpet. A new price was never even mentioned and the original price was honored. I am so impressed with Boogie Music!

Our family has had a great musical relationship with Boogie Music for over 15 years. My son Matt took guitar lessons there, and over six years ago I started taking guitar lessons there also. What a great staff with decades of professional experience! I have my guitars serviced there so I know it is done right. I buy all my incidentals there too. Always friendly, knowledgeable, and I have learned how to play guitar in my retirement years thanks to Reggie Chavez, who has been playing guitar professionally and teaching for years and years. He has a great attitude and is a very positive person. Thank you all!

I just want to give smaller independent shops my business but selection is rather limited here. When I inquired about an item, they actually looked it up on the Sam Ash website and advised they can order it but 1) I'd have to wait until they do their next order, 2) it would cost more than at Sam Ash, Guitar Center, and Amazon and 3) I'd have to pay for shipping. Seriously, if that's the way you can give me something you don't have you've just GOT to know that's a crappy deal for me. Just tell me to buy it elsewhere and that you hope you can help me with something else. They can't seriously expect me to find that even remotely okay can they?

The repairman, Brent Gutierrez, was recommended by a friend of my husband. We took the guitar all the way up there because he was the only person who came recommended for a neck reset. My husband is so thrilled with the results. He says it plays and actually sounds better than before! The shop owner is kind of a know it all putz, but Brent is the BOMB! His customer service was superb and his work spectacular. He deserves 6 stars!

Friendly staff and very knowledgable. Brought my banjo in for some work and a set-up. They did a great job. Fair price and expert service from a luthier whose been working on stringed instruments for 30+ years. Its hard to find someone you can trust to work on your prized instruments. Boogie Music does it right!

Well, I give the store a -1 score because the owner treated us bad and didn't care about our child not being able to carry the heavy case included in the rental. He insisted in talking over me, interrupting and verbally pushed us around. We were there to rent a drum and wanted a soft, backpack type of carrier. He went on for 5 minutes about how the kids ruin them and it costs him $80 to replace each one every year.
When we finally got a word in edgewise that my 10 year old couldn't carry the case and drum because it is too heavy, he started saying AGAIN how it costs him $80 to replace them. I told him that I don't care about his $80, but that I'm concerned about my son's ability to carry the instrument and ENOUGH about his money!! He continued to be rude and we left tearing up the contract as we walked out the door. NEVER again would I step foot into that store.
