Music Time

Dropped off my grandfather's banjo that he passed on to me over a month ago now. Said they closed because of Covid and now I'm pretty sure they have gone out of business and still have my property! Will not answer phone calls or emails.

Appears they may have gone out of business. The doors have been locked for a few weeks and the sign on the building is no longer there (although there's still some equipment inside). I never received the lessons I paid for. :-(

Always friendly and great advice. Have gotten my son's clarinet and electric guitar fixed up here. Great place for the necessary accessories reeds, strings etc.

Over the year that we have been going there, we have gone through 3 instructors. Each time the instructor leaves they don't have the same time slot available. Everyone must rearrange their schedule to work in the new time. After this last time of an instructor quitting abruptly, we told them we were tired of the hassle and wanted to cancel. When you call you can never get anyone to answer the phone.

They call you back a couple of days later, if at all. I left messages and had to go into the store to talk to anyone. The instructor who is between classes is the only one you can talk to. I have been in 3 time to get the money back. On the 2nd time we were told by a former employee, who was there trying to help because the office staff had quit too, said they would send us a check.

After several weeks, we went back a 3rd time, the instructor who was helping on the front end told us they would not be issuing any refunds. Ask yourself this question before booking with them, why do the instructors keep leaving after only a couple of months? Why are all of the office workers quitting? Buyer beware!

This is a wonderful local music store. There was a great variety of music products ranging from instruments, music books, teacher aids, and more. Some of the highlights include a rental program for beginning band members, live performance instruments and tons of music books for many instruments. I highly recommend checking this store out!

We went in for a small repair to a clarinet. We were in and out in minutes. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable. We will definitely use them again.

Went to go buy a new flute for a starting student, and they said to buy new it would be $299. I asked about monthly payment options for a new flute for them to come back and say the value was $1000, and it wasn't even a new flute. Won't be heading back after they kept insisting it was a new flute even though it was obviously used. With the diseases going around I don't want them to get a diseased from a used instrument, or one they may be faulty from age.

Ordered mouth piece and materials for my daughter, music student. It took over 2 weeks for a delivery after I was told it would "probably be delivered tomorrow" and I even gave grace for holiday weekend and a hurricane that never materialized. And when I finally called after 2 weeks. I was told "today". But didn't make it by dismissal on Friday so hopefully it's actually there on Monday morning. In the mean time my daughter's grades and practice are suffering!

I've been bringing my children to Music Time for almost 9 years now and I can't say enough good things about the staff and instructors. My children are not the easiest and though we've rotated through instructors due to scheduling issues on our part, they have all been fantastic in the effort and patience they put in to teaching my children. The office staff, in particular Melanie, have worked hard with me around my schedule, I work nights, to arrange new times when instructors have moved, new days when schooltimes changed, and schedule make up classes for missed lessons. I appreciate texts rather than phone calls while I'm sleeping! Thank you for all you do guys.

Excellent music studio and amazing staff. We have been using this studio for 4 years and my daughter has progressed from novice to Georgia All-State and is a member of the Jacksonville Youth Symphony Orchestra. Her instructor, Don, has helped develop her into an amazing musician. I definitely recommend Music Time to anyone looking for music lessons from beginner to advanced.

My son (Xavier) has been taking music lessons here ever since he was five years old, he will be thirteen this July. They have taught him to play a variety of instruments over the years (drums, guitar, clarinet, violin, and piano). The staff here is very professional and will go out their way to get the schedule you want and always remain proactive in communicating with you when an extra slot becomes available to receive additional lessons.

The prices are the best around town especially for the great services they provide. They (Music Time staff) have become part of our extended family over the years in watching my son grow not only as a musician but also as a person. They have assisted him in preparing for recitals, auditions in not only school but the city youth orchestra (JSYO) as well.

This summer 2016 my son will be playing in chamber (violin and upright bass) as well as the top piano class while at La Villa, and auditioning for repertoire with JSYO. My son loves music but none of this would have been feasible if it was for the professional and personal relationship we have had with the wonderful staff at music time. Thanks music time for being with us every step of this musical journey.
