Lat year, Mark did a setup for me on a Charvel So-Cal (orange one in the photo). Absolutely perfect. I had the setup done by someone else previous to that, and I regretted it. We also discussed playing/picking style, string gauge, pick selection, action, and a variety of other things. Very thorough consultation, and I learned a lot. A year later, and I'm so impressed and thrilled every time I pick this thing up to play. 5 stars, and THANK YOU!

I brought my Les Paul to Mark after purchasing it used and the previous owner had some very poor quality work done to it. Mark was able to repair and correct the workmanship issues bringing it back to a gorgeous playing and looking guitar. This guy is truly a master of his craft! 15+ years of taking care of my Guitars the best of the best. There is not much else to say. Last work I had was a re-fret on my Strat it went from great to amazing. Detailed work in which Mark makes sure your guitar is right for you.

As almost all the other review say, Mark does excellent work, but another thing that sets him apart is that he is able to give advice about strings, setup, etc., if you want it. That's the part I appreciate since I've only been playing 1 1/2 years. I don't necessarily know what I want and Mark helps with that.

Great service! Custom made a nut for my bass, fixed issues with the wood drying out, and still got it done a day earlier than promised! I will definitely be going here from now on!

I have had several guitars repaired by Mark Tenorio and can't speak highly enough about his work. He is as straightforward as he is skillful. He has a particular knack for restoring proper intonation to instruments where time and general wear have caused problems. He did this on three of my vintage instruments; I trusted him with the work when all I could get from some other local "luthiers" was BS.

Most recently he looked at an old Yamaha of mine, a student model I bought almost 50 years ago. I had a pickup put in it years back and wanted to know if it was time to upgrade, and could he work his intonation magic on this old thing? (By the way, even an old student model plywood guitar sounds pretty good with age. And the top has gone from light yellow to almost a burnt orange.

Back to Mark.) So he said, nothing wrong with the pickup, found all sorts of correctable issues with action and intonation, and next thing you know I've got a pretty good gig guitar. Playable in all positions and sounds really good amplified. So that's it - no BS, just straight talk backed up by excellent craftsmanship.

You never hear people talk about luthiers as artist. But this guy has it. I've had three guitars worked on including two re-frets. Just an amazing job! Very happy and would recommend highly for any needs from electronics to neck work.

WOW! Mark at Tenorio Werx is amazing! I own a handmade bass and recently wanted to have new pickups installed. After having bad luck with another place intown, I called Mark based on his reviews. Not only did he see me on a Saturday which he was getting caught up, he spent an hour of this time talking to me about what my needs where and why my bass isn't filling my low-end needs.

I learned more about my bass, woods, electronics, amps, strings, pick placement, etc. in an hour with him than I have in the past 20 years. He had me plug in and play and then he started making recommendation on how to achieve the tone I'm looking for. ALL FOR FREE! No one else in town will do that! If you want the names of bad luthiers in Denver, I can supply several, if you want the names of some good luthiers in Denver, I can supply maybe one or two, if you want an amazing, knowledgeable and honest luthier in Denver, It's Mark at Tenorio Werx!

Mark is simply the best repair guy in the city, and one of the best in the world in my honest opinion! He'll take time to learn your specific playing style and will set up your instrument to your specifications. Don't know of anyone else spending that kind of time with their clients. He can take an average-playing guitar and transform it into a beast!

I know, because he's done it for me more than once. Works by appointment only, so you know he's in-demand and will take the time to do it right! He's been working on my guitars for 20 years now and he's the only one I'll trust to work on many of my instruments. If you truly care about your instruments you'll take them to Tenorio Werx. It's been a pleasure working with Mark! He is extremely professional and went above and beyond to complete my project fixing my guitar even though I needed it urgently right before the concert. I'm sure it's the only shop in town where you can get your guitar fixed, remodeled and even get guitar lessons!
