With more than 42 years bench experience as an in-house repair facility, founder and owner Steve Bockus considers band instrument repair to be a largest part of his business -- not just a side line. As the only instrument repair shop in the immediate area, the turn around time on most repairs is two to three days or less. It is recommended that instruments be serviced each year to maintain optimal playing condition and your instrument will play better and last longer.
Woodwind repairs may include head cork, tenon cork, neck cork, or key cork replacement; pad replacement from one pad to a complete repad; spring replacement; bent or sticking keys; loose posts or rings; adjusting or regulating the action; grafting tenons or receivers; tone hole work; pinning and filling cracks in woodwind bodies.

Amazing job repairing my alto saxophone; it was a complete rebuild and he did great. It plays better than new! It was expensive, but what should I expect for a complete rebuild of an instrument? I've also taken my clarinet here for small repairs, recorking, new pads, etc., and he always does a perfect job, and for those smaller jobs it's obviously not as much money. Anyway, he definitely knows what he's doing with these instruments; I highly recommend this place for instrument repairs.

I've been taking my saxophones to Steve since I was a teenager. Now I play for fun as an adult and continue to bring my saxes to him. Very knowledgeable and the repair is great on all instruments! I just got a beat up baritone saxophone on auction and would look no further than here to get it worked on.

Had my tenor sax overhauled after many years of gigs and travel. My horn was beat up and worn out. It now plays so much better through all registers. Action is fast and minimal noise from keys. Add to that the speed of service and the owner being a genuine friendly lover of musical instruments. The best I have ever experienced.

I have been going to Brass and Woodwind Shop for my saxophone repairs and accessories purchases since 2006. I've followed Steve from his shop on Fowler to Wesley Chapel and now to here in Lutz! The work done is done well and at a fair price and all the accessories you need for your instrument are there. And if for any reason they aren't, he will order it. I'm glad I can trust a local business with my sax, which is my pride and joy!
