Music Masters Founded in 1987, Music Masters started on its long journey from humble beginnings in a 900 square foot space consisting of 3 studios and a retail counter. Due to increasing interest in music lessons, half the studios were sub-divided creating 6. We spent the next 11 years in our tiny surroundings. Growing the business in what was considered then to be a fairly small town, and unable to accommodate our clientele within the booming community, we decided to take the leap of faith and triple our square footage.
Services
Music Masters offers a diverse array of programs to meet your music education needs, from private instruction to larger ensembles. Since our goal is to nurture and inspire the development of the complete musician, we have classes for infants, toddlers, children, youth and adults. Our classes range from whole body movement classes for toddlers, to music theory and history lectures for adults.
We offer private music lessons in all band and orchestra instruments, as well as piano, voice, guitar, percussion, and folk instruments eg. Our instructors are highly qualified, possess advanced degrees in music and considerable experience. Whether a beginner or advanced student, lessons are tailored to each individual's learning style and personal goals.
Each day, both band and string students will meet in large ensemble with camp director Frank Darmiento. Mr. Darmiento has composed for and led jazz and classical ensembles ranging from duos to symphony orchestras. He is currently the music director and conductor of La Forza Chamber Orchestra. Students will also meet in sectionals with like-instruments for more personal instruction.
Our duet program offers students a chance to work together making music. Each student is paired with another at a comparable level. They meet together with their instructor once a week for 30 minutes for one semester (approximately 4 months). The duet program has a recital requirement for each semester: December for the fall semester, and April for the spring semester.

An excellent teacher for my daughter's violin. He begins slowly explaining the instrument and and the basics before begining to play. He has very reasonable prices and a little room that is perfect for learning music.

Very nice store. All the employees here are great, and very affordable lessons! I have been taking lessons here for over a year, and my fiddle instructor, Bonnie, is fantastic.

Great place if you need to find stuff for any instrument. The owner is very knowledgeable on instruments and they offer music lessons. If I lived in the area I would love to get guitar lessons.

I've been coming here for a few years since I played cello at Chaparral. I had my bridge replaced and the service was impeccable. Quick and professional. There is a dog in the office that said hello as well.

The most friendly down to earth music store I've been to. Even though I didn't know how to play piano they let me play still. They didn't rush me out. They made me feel very welcomed! I'm excited to start lessons here!

Five stars because they do instrument rentals here! The only thing my husband wanted to do on our relaxing vacation to Arizona was play his guitar. In looking at the price and risk of flying with his own, we started to think it was not an option. However, after calling around a few places in the Scottsdale area, Music Masters pulled through and let him rent a guitar for a few days for a nominal price. You saved the day (and the vacation!)!

I've visited the store several times while shopping for a cello. The selection is limited, but they have more on the website you can order from. The staff have always been patient with my many questions as well as willing to go to any lengths to find in-depth answers on finishes, woods and construction. I'd recommend them.

Excellent instruction. Decided to pick up an instrument after a 35 year hiatus from music. At 46 yrs old I am now learning the Fiddle while my son learns banjo and we could not have felt more welcome.

I wish I could give them more stars for their customer service. My violin bow broke, and they took unparalleled care of me, and didn't end up making a penny. One of the men at the shop took my bow across town after hours to a luthier who fixed my bow. Music Masters kept me perfectly informed throughout the process and I knew my bow was in good hands by how passionate both employees were about getting my bow fixed.

They even offered to give me a lender bow while my bow was getting fixed as to not miss any practice time. Thank you for your amazing customer services, I will definitely recommend this shop and be back for more.

The staff is helpful & very nice! They are focused on genuinely educating their customers rather than overselling high end instruments to beginner students. I left the store with a very nice, moderately priced guitar - much higher quality (for the price) than any I had handled before. The store was busy, but they were able to help me thoroughly. Overall a great place!

Tried their guitar lessons for my child. Will never go there again. The teacher was so foul tempered, he broke the strings off my child's instrument on her second lesson; no apologies; blamed her for having the wrong kind of instrument; ranted the rest of what was left of the half hour lesson and told her she needs to buy the second more expensive book.

This may not reflect on all their teachers, but for me - this it it with music masters. What was worse is, when I reported this to the management - they were not apologetic at all until I told him I may report this. He was justifying the behavior and said some parents like teachers to be that way. What parents are those? : No kiddin. Anyway, to their credit, he fixed the damaged instrument free of cost.

He also gladly accepted the first book that I was asked to purchase on day one - for charity. Did not offer to refund, so I did not ask. Don't want anything to do with them anymore. I am sure there are better, healthier places out there for innocent music loving kids.
