Real nice people here. Wanted to check things out without any commitments to buy anything. Just simply inquiring, and yet, the people there genuinely wanted to help and expand my knowledge. Kudos to all! May your tribe increase!

My older son plays cello and our rental has been with Morey's for years. A couple times my son did not rosin his bow correctly and damaged the hairs which turned out to be not repairable. I went to Morey's expecting to pay for a brand new bow but Morey's just gave me new bow for free. The customer service has always been wonderful and I love the family local business vibe as well. Thinking of buying a cello when my son transitions to a full size and Morey's is the place to go when I am ready to purchase.

Wow. If you need anything violn, cello, viola, or bass, this is the place. Also, saw guitars and bass guitars but was overwhelmed by the non guitar collection. Rented a violin for my eight year old daughter. Easy to do, friendly staff, took about 45 minutes. In business since 1927, you can feel confident your in experienced hands.

Morey's music store has been around for as long as I can remember. I used to come here as a child and pick out new piano pieces I wanted to try out. I also bought my clarinet reeds here. I have many great memories coming here and am glad it's still open. Easy parking in the big lot behind the store. My daughter will be taking piano lessons soon and I'll be sure to take her here for her books!

They're great. Patient. Nice selection of violin cases. And if there's a room open, you can. Take time to try out a bunch of different bows.

I adored going to Morey's Music as a child and am so happy to see it still going strong. We got all of my childhood violins here and would always stop by to look around after picking up our Christmas tree from the lot nearby. Next time I'm back in Long Beach, I am definitely stopping by.

I was able to rent a great YAS475 that plays beautifully. The staff are extremely kind and helpful. I highly recommend shopping here for all your music needs!

Awesome music shop. So glad I came here to get my kids a couple of starter guitars. One of the employees helped us right away with picking out the guitars, strings, and accessories. He was very friendly and patient, answered all my guitar newbie questions and made me feel confident about my purchase. We are loving the guitars and the strings he helped me pick are working out great. Prices seem good and I felt covid safe shopping in the store. Highly recommend! This will definitely be my go to music store.

Went shopping for a violin here. Very helpful and accommodating staff. Very nice people. They had a very nice selection. Not just in violins but in all other musical products too. I didn't end up taking a violin home with me but I'd be sure to recommend checking this place out to others.

A wonderful experience at the Morey's Music Store today. Brought our grand daughter to pickup the flute. She is in third grade and chose the flute to learn. After making arrangements by phone and having used Morey's as a long time provider of music instruments, we got the ok to pick up the flute. Grand daughter was very happy seeing how compact the black case is.

She was thinking it would be large and heavy because her brother did the saxophone and her older sister did the clarinet. We did the contract and acquired the necessary books and cleaning cloths. I am happy with the attention and service we received from Morey's Music Store.

We rented violins here for 7 years, from 1/10 size to 3/4 size until my daughter was ready to purchase a full size. Our teacher was always pleased with the quality and their customer service was superb on every single interaction through all those years.

The staff is so amazing here! I can trust what they say and they take time in answering any questions and never makes you feel rushed, i brought my guitar to replace all the strings and got a good recommendation, I got my guitar the same day and had it tuned up too, I am so glad to have found a music store close by that is so wonderful!

I had a great experience at Morey's! First off, communication was awesome and I got answers super fast. I went in for new guitar strings and they were able to put them on for me and it was for a great price. They kept my guitar for two days and they really took care of my instrument. I will definitely be back next time I need music supplies or if I want to pop in to check out the shop.

We came here to rent a violin for my son. They took time to show us different options and explain all the pros and cons. Even though it was a busy Saturday, I never felt rushed or hurried. I also have a violin that needs work, and they got a luthier to come over to take a look at it and answer any questions about what it needed. I play upright bass and had some questions about getting a setup, and he was happy to answer those questions, even though I know he had plenty of work to do. Also did it feel rushed or that I was getting brushed off. They have quality second hand basses too, one Kay.

My 8-year-old daughter is taking beginning guitar lessons in September through an after school program. Not knowing where to start, I took a chance on Morey's Music Store in Lakewood. It has already paid back in dividends. After milling around for a while waiting for a staff member to become available, I was helped by a gentleman who grabbed everything for me - a 3/4 classical guitar ($189.99), tuner ($29.95), footstool ($25.99), lesson book ($8.95), and a padded guitar bag ($35).

By the time I checked out with a very nice lady, it was only after I walked outside that I realized they gave me a discount on nearly every single item totaling in $95. Plus, they gave me (I mean my daughter LOL) a cute little Morey's luggage tag. That's very much appreciated especially during a seemingly never-ending pandemic (COVID-19).

Maybe I don't know a thing about the guitar, but I don't have to when these folks are such kind and eager-to-help professionals. Note that on Saturday afternoons, they are really busy. Definitely call ahead or check their hours before you drive there. They are currently closed on Thursday and Sunday. The store was clean and organized. Ample parking is available around the back.

My daughter is extremely excited to begin lessons and loves the color and quality of her new guitar. Thanks for helping parents score big time not just with cost and service, but quality too, MOREY'S! I cannot recommend them enough!

At 41, I decided to start a new hobby and learn the violin. This is actually something I've wanted to do for a long time but have never taken the initiative. As a result, I needed to procure a violin. My instructor pointed me in the direction of Morey's, and I made an impromptu run over there right before closing. The staff was super accommodating, and they set me up with a violin, a bow, a shoulder pad, and some rosin.

They even taped the first three finger positions for me. During my first lesson, my instructor was dismayed that the violin wasn't tuned before it was handed over to me, but from what I understand, this isn't the norm.

Great shop with great people who know what they are talking about. Brought a guitar in that needed a bushing for a tuner and got exactly what I needed at no cost.

Morey's Music is always a pleasure. We had to replace an A string on a violin, and the repair was completed quickly and on the house (we rent the instrument from them). They have extremely knowledgeable staff who are always quick with a smile and service. Their rental instruments are good quality, with options for upgrades if you'd like them. I've rented from Morey's for over 6 years, and been happy with everything they've ever done. Besides, they had two viola di gambas in the display case today. How cool is that? You cannot go wrong with Morey's Music for all your instrument rental needs.

Very good service. One lady did string a violin wrong once, which is what dropped the star, but other than that no issues. They quickly fixed that issue, by the way, to no additional cost.

This is a wonderful music store! It is family owned and operated. It has been around for decades. The last time I visited was in the late 80's and I am so glad that it is still around. I specifically went there to purchase a Beatles music book for piano. Yes, I know what you're thinking. I could have bought these online and not have to go through the trouble of driving, going into the store, perusing through items of stuff, falling in line to pay for my merchandise. HOWEVER, I love supporting small businesses, especially, during pandemic.

They need our support and business to stay operational and viable in these trying times. BTW, they also provide classes (not sure if they actually hold classes at the store right now) and sell instruments!
