Founded by Evan Tublitz, RPT, an internationally known concert piano technician, Used Piano Center, LLC came about as an alternative to traditional piano retailers. In 1987, he founded the Artist Pianos chain of piano stores in Upstate New York and owned it for many years but then realized that new pianos were NOT being made with the same materials and workmanship as they were in the past.
Careful Selection - Only the best makes and models are selected to insure the best value. An extensive inspection is performed to insure that each instrument meets our stringent standards of both quality and value before acquiring it. Due to the high cost of true rebuilding (custom re-manufacturing) to make a piano last for another 50- 75 years, most rebuilders perform a lesser expensive commercial rebuild that generally does not hold up or retain its value.Low Wear - Every piano is selected to have less than 5% if not 1% wear to insure your piano will be LIKE NEW.

Never do business with these people. Their customer service is the WORST. This guy was SUPER condescending to me when I asked if he was interested in buying my piano. When I said the brand he acted like I KNEW I wanted to sell him an inferior piano. He also assumed that I have not been tuning it regularly. I was very surprised by this response as my piano technician (who knows it personally) told me $1850 was a fair price for it.
Even if my piano was bottom of the line, professionals do not talk to a person assuming they have bad motive. He seemed like he was angry I even called asking! All other piano stores in the area I called the same day were kind professionals and interested in my piano. I now understand why this store has the lowest rating in the area. Go elsewhere.
