Locally owned and operated since the day it was built with materials from Wadsworth Brick Co. and locally milled hard pines. It all started in the 1920's as the H.W. Wolf Department Store. Our 133 College Street building nearly burning down in the 1950s and rose again to become your "friendly neighborhood music shop" in Historical Downtown Wadsworth.

Today we are a modern music shop serving the Ohio Northcoast and world wide web with hundreds of instruments in our showroom and warehouse. You will find everything from beginner level to Pro.

Wadsworth Music has partnered with Sweetwater Band & Orchestra to bring you the finest rental program ever! Affordable monthly rental payments make it easier to get an educator-approved beginning band instrument. Affordable Instrument Protection Plan keeps your rental instrument in great playing condition. We offer 25% off of the remaining balance on your rental instrument if you decide to pay off early.

Service Center Report

We offer general maintenance service for restring and setups to put your instrument in best playing condition. Guitar, Bass, Violin, Auto Harp, Dulcimer, Banjo, Mandolin are welcome. We do minor repairs but not paint work. Some modifying and electronics pickup installations are available: however, we do not fix electric components, keyboards, amplifiers, pedals, etc.

If you are a musician, Wadsworth Music is an absolute must visit then! They have a very nice and relaxing atmosphere. I've been going to Wadsworth Music off and on for the past almost 16 years. It's a nice family owned and I am so happy to see how farm John and Sue have come! If you need a question answered, new strings, new guitar or amp, I absolutely trust whatever John and Sue suggest. They aren't out to up sell you and make a fortune. Everyone working here is there to get you exactly what you need and I have NEVER had even one bad experience here!

This is a fantastic little music shop. Mostly focused on guitars, and mostly focused on Fenders, with some other instruments as well. They have a great lesson plan as well!
