We are happy to announce that we will resume renting band and orchestral instruments this year through Music & Arts Company. We hope to be able to supply students with high quality band instruments at a low monthly fee. As a reminder, we continue to carry method books, cleaning kits, reeds, valve oil, and other accessories necessary for a successful year in band.

I felt a racial divide. I was cordial and respectful when I entered the place. I played for them, the piano and sang to them and even bought something from them. They called the police on me and I was not arrested. I did not disrespect anyone nor did I hard an instrument. I sat in the police car in cuffs and then was released without a problem. I plan to take them to court.

I bought guitar strings and a tuner for my boyfriend the lady helped me to find the guitar strings I needed and showed me how to use the tuner so I could show my boyfriend but It didn't come with the instructions so that sucked and I felt like since I wasn't spending too much money they really didn't want to bother with me and the place was empty other than me there but the store is kinda fancy and and not to much to look at not very inviting for most people a bit too fancy kind of intimidating for a lot of people and when I walked in the first thing you see is a bunch of pianos which made me think it was just a piano shop but they do have other thing there but a huge supply. All in all I got what I needed just felt a little uncomfortable and out of place.

Just came in for some guitar strings, tbh. Quick transaction, and no one hovering over my shoulder even when I sat there and debated on which acoustic and electric strings I wanted for like 5-10 mins, haha. I came in for picks another time and it was pretty much the same deal minus the 5-10 min selection.

We have loved shopping at Lancaster Music for years. However, we were extremely disappointed this week when we visited and found that no employees were wearing masks. As my husband and I have both lost family members to COVID, we feel this shows a general lack of concern for customer safety. Several customers were wearing masks, including us, but this did not seem to clue the staff into thinking they should do the same.
We had hoped Lancaster would be different and not imitate the dangerous anti-mask culture that plagues far too much of the state. We will not be back, maybe not even after COVID.

This is one of the most helpful music stores i've been too. They have one of the largest selections of music books and sheet music to choose from, anywhere from old music to modern music. As soon as i entered the building, i was greeted by each staff member. they also almost immediately asked me if i needed help finding anything. Thanks for the great customer service!

I'll swing in here every now and again just to have a peak. Maybe pick up some picks, a strap, etc. The staff are always real friendly, I've got no complaints there. The place is nice and clean and always well stocked. I know their bread and butter are off of pianos and such, but I'd love to see a bigger selection of guitars and basses in here. Would bring in some business, I'm sure.
Especially considering there is only one other music store in town that survived the recession. As for now, that other music store and Guitar Center are my first two stops before this one. And that's nothing against this place at all. If you're looking for the likes of a piano, woodwind, brass, etc - make a trip to see these guys.

What i like about this place is the ability to pick sheet music and try it out on their keyboards available in their private rooms. They have an amazing assortment of sheet music sheet music i grew up with that they still carry. upon entering this place i immediately saw familiar music books sheet music and revamps of classic music. the collection is amazing and any musician would want buy just because it is available. including new music i believe they have a rack or new music with artists like taylor swift. my only problem is i do not feel welcome here. they seem very off set they someone like I would want to shop there. sad thing is though. there arent many places like this around. so pick and choose wisely a fars as their prices it depends on what your looking for. i never really saw any good "DEALS" there but some things were pretty fair priced. ive been buy music my whole life so ive seen things sky rocket from 50 cents to 4 dollars quickly. they do have a lot of instruments so id say their prices are somewhat fair.
