We are a husband-and-wife team serving the Eastern Jackson County area of Missouri with quality piano tuning, repair/rebuilding and piano lessons. Arbeau Piano has provided quality full service for almost 30 years, before 1986 when the company started. Gerald is a professional piano technician/rebuilder with specialized training from several piano manufacturers.
SCHEDULE CHANGES: With the many varied activities of students and their families, such as extracurricular school commitments, sports, church, etc., please remember that every effort will be made to allow for rescheduling lessons when necessary. Advance notice is greatly appreciated and will ensure a better selection of make-up times and dates.
We often take for granted those little white and black keys. They set our melodic passages to motion within the piano as our fingers skillfully glide across them. Truly, if they have a good feel they are as well-fit leather gloves to our hands. If they have broken or sharp edges and sideward movement, it is unpleasant and lend inconsistency to our musical experience.
This search should be approached with many considerations and information-gathering that will end in pleasurable results. As with every worthwhile project, don't act hastily and always practice sound judgment, for there are opportunists, whether intentionally or not, trying to turn a fast dollar at your expense.

Today, my piano plays and sounds better than it has in decades. The difference is frankly astounding, and I am sorry to see that I have hired the wrong people to tune my piano in the past. Mr. Arbeau is clearly an expert in his field, who devotes unparalleled care and effort to his work. He took a great deal of time, not only to bring every detail of the piano up to it's full potential, but also to help me, the pianist, develop a greater understanding of the instrument. He is open, honest, informative, a wealth of knowledge, and worth every penny. I look forward to trusting the care of my heirloom piano to him in the future.
