Highly recommended if you're shopping for archtops. No one else in 60 miles of me has anything close to the selection of quality stuff. Knowledgeable, friendly staff, recognized that I was serious about what i was looking for, and helped me find and leave with the right guitar for me. Really excellent Eastman Jazz Elite 16 custom-specced out by the shop that i couldn't be happier with.

Bought a brand 'new' 17 Eastman Jazz Elite blonde. I looked through their website for a long time, and then bought one, specified exactly the one I wanted. Sent me the wrong one first (wrong serial #, but looked 'similar' ) Took another 2 weeks to get the one I ordered as someone else had it in HI (?). New?, slightly used by the time I got it, and the case was 'well worn'! a new guitar? Hardly.
Not happy. Tried to trade it back for something else in their inventory and lo and behold its worth $1,000 less than what I just paid. That is exactly what they are worth, about $1500. Don't pay more. I also had to send it back to Eastman due to buzzing frets. That took a month. very disappointed in the whole deal.

I had a fantastic time there, I think I tried about 12 guitars and spent about 2 hours there. I finally settled on a 2000s Gibson ES-175D. It was in great shape and had a beautiful neck. I would say I paid market price for it. Only visit if you are looking for a jazz box, they don't carry anything else.

This is an amazing Jazz guitar shop. The owner Lou has vast knowledge of everything archtop. He is patient and really takes his time to educate you and match you with a guitar. I bought a beautiful Peerless Cremona there and am extremely happy with it. The inventory at the shop is also very diverse. They have everything from entry level jazz boxes, workhorse jazz guitars to vintage masterpieces.
They have the largest Eastman and Peerless inventory I have ever seen. Connor, the guitar tech, is also a great guy. He sets up all of my guitars. He does a tremendous job making sure your guitar is exactly the way you like it. I would recommend this store to any jazz guitar enthusiast. I have been to lots of Guitar shops all over the country and this is by far my favorite.

I recently purchased my dream Jazz guitar from Guitars 'n Jazz and have to say that the experience I had was absolutely first rate. The owner, Lou Del Rosso, is very knowledgeable, professional, and was a pleasure to work with in me learning about and getting my guitar. I live in Utah and the guitar was packed very well for shipping. It arrived in perfect condition and it's a jewel to play and behold! If you're looking for that "special" guitar, Guitars 'n Jazz is the place to go - VERY highly recommended!

Guitar strings are kept behind a counter where they are inaccessible. I was told that I couldn't look by myself, and would have to wait for someone to come back from lunch to stand guard. I mean, help me. Pharmacy supervised guitar strings. What a concept. Who dreams this stuff up? This is, unfortunately an example of why Guitar Centers are now the only option for musician's needs.

Hard to imagine a better guitar buying experience. TONS of guitars to choose from, a private setting where you can play without a million different people rocking out all around you, and most importantly a fantastic staff there to help you make the best possible choice. Lou is incredibly knowledgable and a straight shooter when it comes to prices, trade-ins etc.
My only complaint is that I live in Los Angeles so the 2,700 mile commute is a killer, but every time I'm on the east coast I know I'll be back. If you're in the market for a new, quality guitar, look no further than Guitars 'n Jazz.

What a place! Incredible number of archtop guitars available to try out. Both vintage and new, acoustic and electric. There are usually around 400 instruments in stock at any time. If you go in to Guitars n Jazz, you should have a clear idea of what you want. But even then you'll be thrilled by the selection brought out for you to try. I spent over 2 hours looking for a very specific type of guitar.
I played about 20 before I narrowed it to a certain model and brand. Then I was brought 3 guitars exacty the same to choose the one that fit my needs best. Seeing as how these were handmade instruments, each had it's own character. During the process, I tried everything from a 40s Gibson to a 50s Epiphone, to a new Eastman. Several of each. I doubt you can do that in many other places. After I picked the instrument I wanted, it was taken to the shop and had a strap button put on, and a set-up done to my specs. A very unique and special place.

I have made multiple purchases from Guitars 'n Jazz and can assure you this is a truly special place offering unique and outstanding instruments. Lou was relentless in helping me find the right guitar. I have never done business with a store that went more out of the way to help me find the right instrument. Lou urged me to ignore the pedigree and esthetics and to go for what feels right. I've been to Mandolin Brothers, Ed Roman's and Golden Age Vintage. Guitars 'n Jazz is my all time favorite guitar store. And no, I'm not affiliated with the store in any way, simply a loyal customer due to outstanding service and outstanding selection.

We found this place because my boyfriend was actually looking around for jobs at guitar shops, and coincidentally I needed a place to do some work on my guitar. Coincidentally, he ended up asking about the job first which he abruptly got hung up on by a guy named Lou because of his accent. We know for a fact he hung up because my boyfriend called back and he just screened the calls because after that he would not pick up the phone.
That is completely unprofessional. Your website complains to be very professional yet your business does not even have basic phone manners. Whatever the reason may be that you would not want to consider him all you needed to say was "I'm sorry the position has been filled" and he would have continued to ask about a price quote for some work on one of my guitars.
How a business handles a customer call is the first impression a customer gets and very reflective of the quality of the business conducted. I am SO glad it happened this way because I would not want a discriminatory business nor a business with very poor customer service touching my guitars. Guess what.my boyfriend has over 17 years of experience and really knows what he's doing but the work I wanted done is a bit time consuming. With our busy schedules at the moment, I wanted to pay someone else to do it. It's a shame you let go of such talent and some business due to your discriminatory ways.
