My boyfriend has had a lot of musical equipment, being a heavy metal artist, and he only trusts this place to work on anything that needs done. His equipment means a lot to him, and he says this is the only place you should be taking your guitars or any equipment to in LA! Thanks for always taking such great care of his prized possessions

Always a great experience, I bring all my guitars here. Eric explains everything well, has fair prices, and does great work. Does really nice setups, and willing to make further specific adjustments if needed. The most recent guitar I brought in had a heavy S curve in the neck and had been sitting its case for 20 years- it was almost unplayable, and I was afraid it would turn out awful. but after a setup it now plays surprisingly well. Also did a great job repairing and setting up a broken Floyd rose. Would recommend this shop.

Eric always does a great job. If you just bought your first guitar or your 1000th, he will take the time to make sure it plays perfectly. I brought him a guitar to set up for me back in 2013 and 9 years later, it still rocks. I recommend him 100 percent.

It's been a little while since I have needed any work done on my guitars, but when I ever do, I always take them to Eric's Guitar Shop. He is amazing. Super cool guy with knowledge about any guitar, how it should sound, and how it should play. He is truly the best. And also, very reasonable too. I can honestly recommend him very highly. This guy is legendary! I only came in to swap a pick up and talked me into a spliter push to make the hot rails humbucker into a single at will. Totally happy with the outcome, should have listened when he told me to add black to my guitar now I'm looking forward to modifying my guitar so I can take it back to him for something else. Update+ I've been coming here for all my guitar needs, Eric and Billy are phenomenal! They won't leave any stone untouched!

Been going to Eric for maybe a year and a half now, best prices for the quality or work, service, and overall vibe that the shop has. The drive is WORTH it, especially if you get same day service you get to chill in the waiting room and try out your guitar in there when it's all done.

5 stars are not enough! Eric's is the best place for Guitar setup or repair. A good friend of mine recommend Eric's & I've been taking my guitars & Basses there ever since. (6+ years) Hands down the most knowledgeable & professional of any guitar shop on earth. Eric's is the real deal, once you take a guitar or bass in to be setup or repaired you too will be a customer for life.

I couldn't be happier with the way my instruments play after Eric's works their magic. You instantly become a better player because your instrument will be the best it can be, you will literally have to force yourself to put it down. This place is amazing. This is where to take your guitar when anything goes wrong with it. These two gentlemen treated me not only professionally but like I was a superstar myself. Very thoroughly explained everything and very reasonably priced. Made my guild sound like a brand new guitar again. It was buzzing in the middle frets so I knew I had some adjustments required but I don't know how to do that. They went completely over the guitar, cleaned it up and I think waxed it and it looks and sounds like new. Look no further you found THEE place to take your guitars.

Eric's came through yet again. No matter what's wrong with your guitar, he has you covered. Honest, timely work. You want to put a humbucker in your strat? Needs routing? No prob. You want to switch to using 9's and get a simple set up? Easy. I've seen him fix broken off necks. He just knows guitars. And banjos. Anything with strings.

Take your sick guitar to Eric and he will heal it. I have been bringing my basses to Eric for over twenty-five years. I've never lived closer than a 45 minute-or-more drive but I don't care. The first work he did for me was to mod a '93 Carvin 6-string to hold a couple of Bartolini soap-bars and preamp with mid-boost. A big routing job he handled expertly. I've been grateful to know him ever since. Eric provides sound diagnosis, honest recommendations, top-notch work with good turnaround time, more-than-fair prices, and priceless customer service. (He and his staff have gone above and beyond for me in difficult situations.) Eric's Guitar Shop does what it takes to get his customers' instrument-care-needs met with integrity and a smile!. just sayin'.

Friendly, knowledgeable shop. Just took a newer guitar to Eric and crew for a full setup and to replace the output jack. Great service, reasonable turnaround time, and competitive prices. Guitar plays beautifully now. I especially love how they explain everything they recommend having done to the guitar and also go over the work that they did when you go to pickup your guitar. Will definitely be taking my other guitars to Eric's!

Eric was highly recommend by a good friend of mine and I couldn't be happier. When I first spoke with Eric about the work I needed done he was very helpful and informative. I told him I was coming from about an hour and a half away and he told he he'd be able to help me same day so I wouldn't have to make another long trip. The day I arrived he was very welcoming and fun to talk to.

He installed my new pick up and even repaired my other guitar when I only asked him to take a look at it. Great service and quality work. I truly appreciated what he did. No matter the drive, I'll definitely use Eric again for any repairs.

Yes, 5 stars. I brought my 80' Custom Les Paul to get a fret job. Jescar jumbos. Job was done very nicely. Frets all polished and the set up is very accurate. Chords sound in tune all over the fretboard including chords with open strings. Called me the same day it was due at 10am.

I'm 36. I've lived in LA my whole life, from the South Bay to the Valley. Eric is the best in all of LA. He made my Korean Gotoh Floyd Rose Squire Strat with Gilmour Pickups play and sound like a million dollar tone machine. I thought I had the intonation down fairly well but I wanted it to be the best Strat it can be, and Eric fine tuned it to the most precise level and locked it in!

Very professional, very respectful, and a true professional who has obviously earned his highly skilled level of craftsmanship through decades of experience and an A-list rockstar clientele. You don't keep a 5 star review on Yelp for slacking, much respect to the a modern luthier legend! Thank you good sir!
