We were looking to buy a used piano for my daughter. Since I don't play the piano myself, and my daughter and her teacher weren't available to try out the piano in person, I enlisted on rather short notice the service of Denzil to help with evaluating the piano. From the very beginning, Denzil's communication was great. He arrived a few minutes early, spent a lot of time looking at the piano, answered all the questions and concerns I had about the piano, and conducting himself in a professional and friendly manner throughout. We ended up purchasing the piano based on Denzil's assessment, and the piano has performed very well up to our expectation.

Denzil has been tuning my pianos for about 10 years now. He has always been excellent and responsive. When my grand piano got significantly water and smoke damaged, he rebuilt it entirely and did a beautiful job. I highly recommend him both for re-tunings and rebuilds.

I have an Apollo full size upright piano. This is my first time having the piano tuning service by Denzil's. The gentleman was on time. He answers my questions very patiently. One of my questions was about the peeling condition in the parts that received the hammering then strike the strings. He told me not to worry about it at this point. It would take 50 years to have to replace them. That was a relief! Then he focused on the tuning. After about 40 minutes, it was all done. The piano sounds great now!

I hired Mr. Denzil to inspect, evaluate and appraise a mid-century grand piano that I was acquiring He was prompt, VERY knowledgeable and thorough. I was very pleased with his examination and appraisal. I was able to learn a lot from him about my Baldwin and was pleased to find that it was it very good shape for its age. I will use him to re-work the action and tune it this coming spring!

I left the key under the mat and a check on the piano and James came and tuned it up while I was away at work. When I got home, I went straight to the piano and it sounded better than ever. James left me a note saying he closed the windows to reduce the noise so he could tune the piano better - and he didn't let the cat escape, either. Denzil has been tuning my pianos for years. I purchased a Steinway Model M a few years ago. At that time, I had a few different turners tuning that piano. None can be compared to Denzil's quality, efficiency, and cost. I have no problem recommending Denzil to my friends.

Denzil was referred to us by a music therapist friend. We wanted to purchase a used baby grand piano for my extraordinarily talented son who is in the autistic spectrum. He not only found an ideal Yamaha G5, but one that had a single owner. He maintained and tuned for said piano over 15 years. We purchased the 1978 Yamaha G5 5 years ago, and Denzil continues to tune our G5 as our son has greatly expanded his abilities and talents. Denzil is the best. He tunes superbly, and even provided a dust protector for my grand piano which is super hard to dust under all those strings. He plays piano beautifully as well.

As a music conservatory student and ardent amateur pianist, I have had tuners work on my Mason-Hamlin and Steinway grands for 40 years. Denzil stands out as perhaps the best tuner in my experience -- his tuning last well, they are pitch perfect, he is personally pleasant and helpful on questions, and his is fast (often a tell-tale sign of a good tuner as it means that he can turn the tuning fork just right on the first try) p.s. relatively expensive in dollar terms, but a good buy as the tuning is better and more durable signed Franklin Huddle, Ambassador (ret.)d

My piano sounds fantastic! I have a Yamaha grand piano that Denzil tuned today, and what a world of difference in the sound. I have tried a few different piano tuners throughout the years and Denzil is by far the best. He tuned my piano in the mid-90's and I was lucky to find him again when I was looking for a tuner. Denzil's prices are reasonable and he is very efficient.

Denzil is a first-class professional, and now the only piano tuner I ever intend to use in Fremont. I recently purchased a baby grand piano that had not been tuned in years. He came to my home, was very pleasant to talk to, and gave me sound advice on how to care for my new, used piano. He took his time to make sure the piano was properly tuned, he graciously assisted me in putting floor protectors underneath the castors of the piano, and was willing to come back to clean the piano, as it had not been dusted under the strings in ages.
