Andreas Eastman model VL305 violins are one of our most popular instruments. These vibrant tonewoods are treated with a hand-applied antique-style spirit varnish and include hand-carved ebony pegs, tailpiece and chinrest. This violin is perfect for the advancing students. Frederich Wyss model VL703 violins are the pinnacle of modern European luthiery tradition.
Old-world craftsmanship and materials come together in our Ivan Dunov instruments. Crafted in a traditional workshop method from superb tone woods and hand varnished in our workshop in Beijing, China. They feature an antique spirit varnish and ebony fittings and fingerboard. The Superior models are set apart by the addition of more highly select Carpathian Tonewoods and increased craftmanship details. Available in 15", 15.5", 16", 16.5". These instruments provide excellent sound and playability for the intermediate student.
The first model in the Andreas Eastman series demonstrates Eastman Strings' commitment to utilizing quality tonewoods and expert hand-craftsmanship. This step-up model is of such high quality that some luthiers who have evaluated these instruments have believed them to be professional instruments with high price tags!

Knowledgeable and kind staff. They would benefit from a roomier location. The store itself has instruments lying on the ground in the waiting area and one worker had to climb over and on top of boxes to access their bows. There were two chairs in the waiting area and maybe 6 people crowded around. It felt cluttered and uncomfortable.

The owners are very knowledgeable about stringed instruments, including rebuilding them in the back of the store. They are also very fair, as we have had troubles always paying our rental fees on time and yet never have they hassled us and always allowed us time to catch up in our payments. The equipment is very good. I highly recommend them for beginning strings students.

I love this store! My daughter has rented from Resonance for 4 years and is now ready to purchase her full size violin. They allowed her to try every violin in the store and take 2 home to practice with for a week trial with her instructor. If she doesn't like them she can try 2 more! How nice this is as buying an instrument is a huge financial investment. Thank you!

Parking is a bit tricky, it's on the back side of the shop. But people in the shop are friendly. Visited to get the an instrument repaired and there was no attempt to upsell or try to have ua buy more. Looks like they have been there for sometime and seems pretty experienced in what they are doing. While our instrument was being fixed, a lady came to generally look around and she was welcomed to have a look around. Five stars had it been a good parking spot!

I had my violin's neck reset at Resonance after the fingerboard slowly sagged over ten years. Resonance is definitely on the pricier side (I think it's more of an upscale place catering to professional musicians), but the work is top-notch. The fingerboard is back where it's supposed to be and the sound is returned to normal. And looking at it, you couldn't even tell that anything had been done if it wasn't for the fingerboard being back where it's supposed to be and the neck shim from an earlier repair being gone. Overall, the neck reset and new bridge came to $400-450 (I can't remember which) and took three weeks.
