I recently purchased a Harmonium that was shipped from Keshav and I can see why he came highly recommended. Not only is his product beautiful and sound great, but he was very helpful in choosing the right instrument and pleasant in explaining the mechanics even instructions for repairs, operation, etc.

I bought an MKS Shruti box from Keshav Das and it is awesome! He was informative and friendly to deal with on the phone, and the instrument got to me in perfect condition. I actually bought it as a birthday present for my mom, but after playing with it, it's going to hard to part with it lol! That said, I'll be ordering another one for myself very soon! These are the real deal! Top notch instrument for a good price!

A very sweet experience at Keshav Music's workshop. I purchased a harmonium and being a newly, called Keshav multiple times with questions about my new instrument and he was consistently patient and understanding. When I accidentally left my instrument in the car on a very hot day and got buzzing in a few reeds, he had me come over right away and he dressed and re-tuned the reeds on the spot for no charge. I would recommend him very highly.

I have purchased two harmoniums from Keshav, one from him in person at his workshop and one from him over the internet. The instruments that Keshav imports are incredibly high quality and I have been very pleased with the harmoniums. Every time I talk to someone about a potential harmonium purchase I always try to steer them to Keshav. Keshav's deep knowledge of all of the instruments that he sells is invaluable when purchasing because he can listen to what you're looking for and what you plan on using the instrument for and can recommend a good fit, even if it's not his most expensive.
He has never tried to up sell me and I find his straightforward honesty a pleasure to work with. Moreover I found visiting his workshop quite enjoyable. Keshav was very, very kind, even offering for me to hang out and have some tea! Overall, just as I recommend to my friends, if you're looking to buy anything that Keshav sells, I would absolutely recommend that you work with him on the purchase!

I already left a review but I have to leave another one 2 years later. Keshav helped me acquire the most beautiful Dilruba that i absolutely love. This instrument is incredibly easy to play and sound incredible. If you are looking for an amazing instrument I most highly recommend getting a dilruba from keshav. I could literally play it within a few days (tune the sympathetic strings to C major scale starting from the top with F and the jawari strings F G A B C)

What a great experience. We purchased a really nice sitar at Keshav's for our son when he was a student player, and ended up coming back two years later to buy one of Keshav's vintage Hiren Roy sitars. My neighbor who plays tablas with our son and sometimes gives lessons sends all his students to Keshav's. Keshav sells the real deal stuff and is the only brick & mortar store left in the USA that specializes in Indian instruments where you can go in and try before you buy.
Be sure to call ahead as he's always swamped with orders and generally has a back-log of orders waiting to be filled. His prices are higher than than what you see on the strictly online places - but you do get what you pay for.

I have had three tabla, (one set, and one dayan) heads replaced in the last 3 years, plus helped a friend purchase a very nice Varanasi tabla set from Keshav just 2 weeks ago. We both have had a nice experience with Keshav Das. The staff are friendly, and the shop on Rutgers has more room to tune and warm up an instrument that you may be trying out.
I trust his judgement about the sets he has available. I have played the instrument for nearly 40 years and have seen all degrees of good and bad sets. I would recommend the Calcutta heads and Varanasi heads that Keshav and Sukkdev have at their disposal. Heads were replaced in just a few days, perfectly placed on the drum( as if I did it myself!). Thanks Keshav Das- and please stay healthy!--Sahishnu
