More than thirty in stock Prices too low to publish! In 1976, Joe Dobbs with the aid of his brother, Dennis, began the Fret 'n Fiddle in Huntington, W.Va. Shortly after Dennis left the business in 1980, Joe moved the shop to St. Albans, W.Va., where it remains today. For three decades, the Fret 'n Fiddle has enjoyed the respect of musicians and collectors alike. We provide used and new string instruments.

Small but nice selection of string instruments. I bought this lovely El Greco parlor guitar there. Smooth to play and full, rich sound for a reasonable price.

I stopped in to get some strings while visiting relatives in the area. I found a small finger slide too which was a pleasant surprise and the guys were really nice and helpful! Great local guitar shop

My daughter and I took the bass guitar i got her for Christmas for an adjustment because it had become unplayable. The man took a look right away and fixed it on the spot. Also had a suitable gig bag that I bought. I was surprised that he charged me for the adjustment when he gave me my total. Very knowledgeable, quick, and reasonably priced. This store is a true WV jem.

Place is really geared toward acoustic players. Nice selection of intermediate to advanced instruments for players. Violins, guitars, mandolins, etc. One side has more electric guitar equipment and I think they function as a sort of pawn shop also, I cant recall anymore, its been a while. Lots of great pickers come through there too.

One of the last true places locally owned and operated for musical instruments and amps. The place is a local treasure in rich history for musicians and students and those who just love watching musicians play and look at all of the stringed instruments. The staff are knowledgeable and will not steer you wrong. Joe Dobbs is one of the greats and this store is a musician's paradise.
