The instructors are great and my son loved taking lessons there. The downside is that we bought a used guitar from them for my son for Christmas and it was garbage. We have had to completely rebuild the guitar after they told us they were going to fix everything on it before we ever took it home. Needless to say, we have started buying from sweetwater.com and have had a much better experience.

I had a school bass that needed repair and took it to Route 60 Music Co. The owner and employees took time to talk to me, explain what they were doing, and of course did a marvelous job adjusting the neck of the instrument. If you're looking to start playing guitar, bass, violin, or ukulele and want a quality instrument, be sure and check them out--unlike what you buy online, they service everything they sell and stand behind it.

Large store with a decent variety of instruments, equipment, andaccessories. Staff seemed pretty friendly. I can't give them 5 stars since I didn't see a single Ibanez guitar in stock and that's my #1 reason for visiting. Covid could be causing problems with their inventory, but I've only ever owned one non-Ibanez guitar, and that was back in the early 90s.

I had a guitar fix there little over a year ago I wanted all the components inside the guitar fixed because I purchased the guitar at a pawn shop and it was kind of wonky. I played the guitar maybe five times since the year so and the guitar is back to being wonky the components they put in don't work they worked a few times then after that they quit.
Other than that I asked them how much it would cost they quoted me a price and end up charging me twice as much also it took three times as long as what they said it would to fix

They have an excellent variety of instruments and excellent instructors! I bought a Samick guitar from here years ago and I love the sound. Will be buying all my instruments from here. I've used Scott Stephens as an instructor for a little over a month and have already progressed further than I had imagined. Learning a lot. Excellent guitar instructor! Great staff all around!

Fantastic music store. Every business should pay attention to customer service as well as these guys. I stop in on a semi-regular basis, mostly to just look around. I'm treated like someone who spends thousands. They know their products and treat customers like friends. Modern business with old school principles. Support this small business.

Mike and Paul created a wonderful music store from their years at the old Pied Piper and bought their love of music to Barboursville. In the Huntington area, this is the spot to buy a guitar, bass, drums, and a few other surprises as well. The music staff does a great job of explaining the merchandise and you might get a jam just for fun to show you what these instruments can do. I would give this place 6 stars if I could.
