The ego oozes off each showroom employee. No charisma. All they want to talk about is how yamaha is the most played piano in the world and how nothing compares. They want to sell you a piano by down talking all the other pianos manufactures. Feels scummy being in the store and hearing these things. Basically told me a 7ft piano was out of my league till i played. Then told me i earned it. Gate keeping an instrument. Go elsewhere if you are a pianist who is passionate.

We had a horrible experience here. The store manager Michael was extremely rude to us when we were trying to negotiate a better deal. He showed a sense of contempt to his customers. He stated angrily: "I can't believe that we are talking about $200 here". The implication is that he looks down on anyone who negotiates prices with him, specially a small amount money.
As a Manager, Michael has no compassion at all. If you are trying to purchase a piano from Michael, just keep that in mind. You know this is a business, if that was everything we experienced when interacting with Michael, I won't leave this review. When I told Michael: "I will think about this deal, because this is one of my options in mind, I need to take a look at another piano then I could make my decision. Michael then said rudely to me and my friends to "get out of his way (his desk) to discuss, because he needs to work." The implication is that if you don't decide to pay the money immediately, don't waste his time.
He showed a particularly contemptuous attitude towards us. I can't believe that a store manager says that to his customers, you can't trade your customers like that, this is unacceptable. I leave this review to remind anyone who comes to this store, to be careful when you interact with Michael. Take a look at other poor reviews that half of them are from Michael's service.
I also want the owner of the store to see this, I know Michael will tell you something different, it's up to you what you believe. Michael is not the owner, so he doesn't care about the reputation of the business. He doesn't care about the importance of customer service, and Michael is ruining this business.

I went to the Orem store looking for a high quality digital piano. I have previously owned three excellent grand pianos but am at a stage of life in which it is even more important to practice and play with headphones in order to avoid irritating the wife. I also wanted an instrument that wasn't going to require such a large footprint in my home. The most important features I was looking for in a digital piano were superior sound quality and action similar to a high end acoustic grand. Joe showed me the Yamaha Clavinova models, and I was blown away by the CLP 775.
The reproduction of the Yamaha and Bosendorfer grand voicings far surpassed my expectations. The speakers were so clear and powerful. Then when listening through headphones, I was transcended to another realm. Upon learning that Yamaha had introduced an even more capable model in the CLP 785, I just had to have it. Not to mention that the 785 has many more internal sounds and technical abilities.
I am not an impulse buyer. Yes, I was pretty sure which model I wanted, but I went back to the Orem store two more times over the next month to confirm to myself that I was making a sound decision. Each time I went there Joe was very patient and let me take my time playing several different pianos. Closing the sale turned out to be a breeze (minimal paperwork), as Joe facilitated the transaction in every way. I couldn't have been more happy with Joe and Piano Gallery. Can't wait to get my new instrument.

I went in for a basic keyboard for me but I was upsold to a $3,500 piano that maybe my kids could play too. I regretted buying it and requested a refund less than 24 hours after buying it only to find out that they don't accept refunds. This was a total surprise since I was not told that before I purchased it. Their Facebook page even says satisfaction guaranteed and their website offers refunds like any other business, but I was not satisfied and they would not refund the money.
The response from the salesperson when I requested a refund was, in part: ".in my 25 year career, I have never dealt with a customer as unwilling to take responsibility for a decision to make a purchase as you have been, so I had no reason to suspect it would become such a huge problem for you as it has never happened before." Before leaving this review I called the owner to make sure they understood I was not happy with my experience to make sure I gave them every opportunity to meet their satisfaction guarantee and he told me "we can't please everyone".
Instead I had to sell the piano and was able to get $3,150 after having it listed for two months. They offered to deliver the piano to the new owner so I took that offer. Next time I will buy online to get a fair price with a return policy as well.

I moved recently and when they set up my piano, the movers said "we have a problem". One of the legs was so loose, they warned it might come down in the next earthquake. Normally that's a joke, but with the recent quakes, I got unnecessarily nervous that it was going to fall on my cats or something. So I did a quick google search to find 'piano repair' and most places say they do repairs, but they just mean repairs to the keys and mechanism, not to the piano structure.
I made online inquiries to two places. The other place took 2 days to get back to me, and they said they didn't do that kind of repair (although they did give me a recommendation for somewhere else). Piano Gallery (Jonny) called me that same morning, and was able to come out the next day. He checked in with me later on my type of piano to make sure he brought all the right parts.
He showed up on time, gave me a call to verify parking, and was friendly and easy to work with. He showed me an at-home method to prop up my piano (bench + books), took off the leg, and fixed the screws for me. When he was finished he also checked the other legs and answered other questions I had about the piano. He recommended a tuner who could help me fix the sticky keys.
He also noticed that my music desk was missing and gave me recommendations on how I could get the music stand to stay up in a better position without the desk, and told me the method to use to stain the pieces of the piano that really needed retouching. In other words, he came for a simple job, he did it fast, and he helped me make a plan to improve my piano overall.
I was impressed at the service and really grateful that everything was taken care of, and am enjoying my non-wobbly piano. I don't remember ever stepping inside the Piano Gallery, although I've driven past multiple times, but I am super happy with their service!

Came by interested in buying a piano. After playing for about 20 minutes (I had a full music scholarship to University of Kentucky), was rudely told to buy it or leave. What a joke. I make over 6 fig as a software engineer, and was going to buy a 30k+ piano from this location. Instead I will buy from a different company, and they have lost the sale entirely.
One of the whole points of buying from a small local place like this is good staff and service. Perhaps they are used to small children playing chopsticks before their parent's buy the piano, but an decent musician needs to spend at least a half hour before deciding on a specific brand and model. Crazy!

My wife and I went in on Labor Day to look at pianos and had an amazing experience! We worked with Dave Despain who guided us to pianos within our price-range. Not once did he try to push us above the number we gave him and he was willing to show us pianos that were well below our max budget. He was a pleasure to work with and ended up helping us get our first piano!

I had a marvelous experience at Piano Gallery. We recently moved and bought a new piano for the new house. General Manager Mike Radditz was wonderful when we visited in the store. He was not at all pushy, but full of information, and committed to getting us the best piano within our budget. He allowed us to hold the price he quoted us for a couple of days while we mulled it over, and then I was able to call and arrange delivery, which happened within two days.
The delivery guys were fabulous: quick and efficient and experienced, and friendly. They even built my bench for me! I highly recommend Piano Gallery if you are looking for any piano, new or used, upright or grand.
