I purchased a 3/4 violin for my son and he was really happy with it. It has been over 3 months and one string was accidently broken. I made an appointment with John for fixing the string and it was really fast and free of charge. Highly recommended to anyone who prefer a local violin shop.

My experience at Classical Strings was a pleasure because of Mr. Wu. He was very professional and kind and gave us advice. Later on if I had any issues I would give them a call and they were very accommadating.

I came upon this place during my search for a shop to fix a broken violin string. My phone conversation with the person at the shop was very professional and helpful. The great customer continued when I was at the shop. The owner, the employee, and the shop surpass my expectations. While many places nickel and dime you at a time like this, this place is the total opposite. I would highly recommend this place for your instrumental need.

Our son's Birthday wish was to meet John Wu. We were able to make an appointment with him on a Saturday 9am. When we left to drive up for 2hrs, our van would not start, and we arrived an hour late. John patiently waited for us and was glad to see us. He gave us a tour, let us check out all his tools at the workshop, and answered all our questions.

Our son was so happy to be able to try a lot of his violins and excited meeting John. The shop is like his own museum, all the violins are professional quality and beautiful! Our son is now getting a lot of attention and compliments from his music class and teachers. Thank you Classic Strings and John Wu for granting our son's birthday wish! It was unforgettable experience. My husband would like to also add that John Wu is a very humble person.

I bought my current viola from Classical Strings a few years ago - and I absolutely love it. The sound, the tone is fantastic, and the size - which the owner spent lots of time working with me to meticulously select - is perfect too. He was clearly very knowledgeable about the industry as a whole as well as what would suit me personally best, and even now I still go back regularly for any needed maintainance with my viola, which he is more than happy to help me with. I purchased a violin for my 9-years old son this Tuesday. I really appreciate the service. We really liked the violin that Andrew recommended to us, especially my son. He was so excited that he got this. He practiced more with it and he is expected to taking his class this Friday.

I have bought a violin from Classical Strings USA for one month now, according for my experience while i'm playing it over this month, first of all I can tell that the quality is super good and detail when you're first touching it, it's smooth. and tone quality it's really beautiful, especially the timbre it's just amazing. You can really tell from the vibration that is coming from the wood and string by listening it, it just sounds different.

It is way better than my previous one. I'm always desiring to find a violin that is capable for me. I know Mr. John Wu and their team are very professional, and also I know they have been making stringed instruments for over than 30 years, so I feel pretty safe about the products they made. We were looking for a cello for my 6 year old son and happened to come across Classical Strings, Inc.! We had a great meeting with John Wu, who is a personable, talented luthier. We bought a lovely 1/2 size cello with a deep, rich tone for my son, and brought it back to our home in Hawaii. I highly recommend Classical Strings if you are looking for a nice, reasonably priced stringed instrument!

My son plays the cello. I went to various music shops to buy a good cello to participate in the upcoming Cello concerto and various competitions, but I couldn't find a cello that suits my son. Finally, I bought it here at "Classical String". John gave us a very friendly introduction to the different styles of cellos that fit our son's level, with detailed explanations, so I was able to play it very comfortably and then buy it at a very good price.

Other music shops only introduced nonsense and expensive cellos, but I really liked this place because they introduced a variety of cellos that fit my son's level. Also, the good thing is that if you buy a cello with a higher level in the future, it will trade-in the cello you bought now. When my son's level goes up, of course, he will trade-in and buy the cello he bought right now. Anyway, my son and I feel so good because I bought a cello with good service and very good quality. As a former professional symphony orchestra violinist and a college violin teacher, I highly recommend the products of Classical Strings. I have picked a student violin for my 10-year-old daughter a few years ago from Classical Strings, it is just an excellent instrument with a great workmanship, tone and touch. Compared with many shop's violins that I have tried at time; the Classical String's violin was absolutely the best!

I also think the price for the violin that I purchased for my daughter is in excellent value for money as well. The owner and master violin maker- John Wu is also repairing and maintaining my professional violin in regular basis, I am very happy and trust him for the job and I do always feel the passion that he got for his work too!
