Michael Kimbell, RPT is located in Pacifica, CA and proudly serves San Francisco and Northern San Mateo County. He offers a variety of piano services and has been a Registered Piano Technician with the Piano Technicians Guild since 1979. We work with individuals and organizations, as well as businesses who own a piano or pianos. In addition to tuning and repairing pianos, Michael is a talented, award-winning published composer and clarinetist. He earned his doctorate in music composition at Cornell University.

To revive long out-of-print classical and romantic piano and chamber music, especially piano music for children. Our editions are carefully prepared, both for clarity and for faithfulness to original editions. They are further computer-engraved and laid out according to the highest industry standards.
Michael A. Kimbell offers a full range of piano tuning, maintenance, regulation, voicing and repair services in San Francisco and northern San Mateo County, California. Since 1979, Michael has been a Registered Piano Technician in the Piano Technicians Guild. He is currently the piano technician for the San Francisco Community Music Center, Noontime Concerts in San Francisco, and Music at Kohl Mansion.
Original compositions and arrangements by Michael Kimbell, also transcriptions by Edith and Michael Kimbell, arranged by number of instruments. Pieces for 3 or more players include parts. Most tenor parts are readily playable on bass. Please contact us if you would like us to make you a transposed version, e.g. for treble viols.
