This piano was built by Oswald Michaud, 1891-1966, a Canadian Pianist, Piano Technician and Piano Builder. In 1937 he invented one of the first electric pianos. He founded the David & Michaud Piano Company who produced many acoustic pianos as well. When grand piano tuning pins are loose the action is removed, the pinblock is supported with this pinblock jack and the pins can be tapped further into the pinblock. The Forster features individual hitch pins for each treble strings making for an incredibly stable tuning.

Clean, courteous, professional. We got a free piano that hadn't been tuned in years. She brought it back to life and it sounds amazing now! She took the time to teach a lot about the piano and what she was doing (much appreciated). Also had a lot of fun stories to fill the time. Tightened up everything including the bench! Went above and beyond what I expected. Will absolutely have her back for regular maintenance.
