Awesome! Just went to Ken to get my Epiphone Dot adjusted and it sounds great. Also picked up a great gig bag for it. He's outstanding and extremely knowledgeable. Also, lots of cool gear to pick from.

Originally purchased an alvarez mf60ceom. Great guitar but I was looking for a different tone and feel. Upgraded the next day to this Larrivee om40. Great value from this guitar. This brand is their high end competitor to the likes of Taylor and Martin. Ken was super helpful and the exchange was hassle free. Couldn't be happier with my purchase.

A Gem. The Owner Ken is hands on and very helpful. I brought in a Bass a couple weeks ago for a neck adjustment and he set it up so well and finished the same day. I was amazed at the adjustment job. It felt like A brand new instrument and played like one too. I will bring all my basses to him for set ups. I bought my first guitar from him when I was in middle school in the mid 90's using piggy bank coins. Very nostalgic times. Great memories and still great service. A classic store through and through and we're lucky to have him in Branford. Support local.

Brought in my bass today for a full setup, had it back in the same afternoon. plays tighter and better than it ever has. Thank you Ken! Will come back in the future for more services for sure!

I have a Fender Stratocaster that had a bad volume pot so the "mr Fixit" in me said I can fix it.so I bought a soldering set and volume potentiometers from Stew Mac, which if you are not familiar, is a one stop shop Of any thing to do with building or repairing guitars and amps for Guitar Luthiers amateurs and professionals alike. Needless to say it wasn't as easy as I thought, soldered the new volume pot in as best I could while following an instructional video but NO SOUND!.

So I brought it to A Sound Choice and I asked Ken to please fix the volume pot and then while he was at it do a professional setup and replace the strings.to make a long story short, Ken said I did a good job, just needed a little touching up and now the guitar is playing better than ever and I have another 20 more Guitars I need to bring him for future set ups.

He could have charged me for a complete volume pot replacement and I would've never even of known otherwise. If you want honest, trustworthy, affordable, timely service of your treasured instruments.you can not do better than A Sound Choice.

The owner, Ken does brilliant work and knows exactly what he is doing. My Hamer Studio (Les Paul style guitar) that I'd recently bought online wasn't playing to my expectations, so I brought it to A Sound Choice. Within seconds, Ken knew exactly what to do, and set it up to factory specs. Then he handed me my guitar to get my opinion. The work was perfect, but I like my setup a bit higher than factory spec.

A minute or two later, it was perfectly dialed in just the way I wanted it. That last step made all the difference. Ken is a real pro, and makes the extra effort to be sure you're pleased with his work. On top of that, he carries a really nice selection of guitars, basses, drums, books and accessories.

During this Virus Lock Down and sitting home in NJ playing guitar, I decided to buy a new guitar. I searched for the dealer's carrying the guitar I wanted and came upon "A Sound Choice". How lucky I was to come upon such a wonderful experience. Working with Ken, the store's owner was a pleasure. Ken was what a retailer should be. The price and service were excellent. I received the guitar 24 hours later via UPS. "A Sound Choice" should be your choice.

When I can I prefer to spend my money at mom -n- pop businesses and A Sound Choice is a great guitar shop. Knowledgeable and they have a great selection of music making products. The corporate guitar stores don't always hire staff that even know what a treble clef is so my advice is spend your money here.

It's a small shop. That said, it has a surprisingly solid guitar selection. Not sure how the prices or service are, I was looking for keyboard/piano at the time. Seems like an average small-scale shop.

Ken is a good guy. Store has a lot of character, loved it. This was my first time ever doing business here. I brought in two guitars for setup and a guitar amp that needed some attention. Ken got everything all set for me in a couple days. Talk about fast service with very reasonable pricing. Next time I need service or want to shop around I will definitely be taking a trip to A Sound Choice.

These guys are amazing! I live in Memphis and bought a G&L Fallout Black w/ Tortishelle Pickguard from them! Came exactly 5 days later from the time I bought it, just as it was scheduled. It came with no scratches, no dents, but nearly IN TUNE, with a free strap and a few picks! These guys are A- Class! Give Ken Johnson at " A Sound Choice" a Call! He'll get you set up with whatever you need!

Definitely worth the stop! This is a great local shop with awesome owner! I really hate going into the big chain music stores, you tend get people who are 1) waiting for their career as a musician to take off and could care less about you, 2) wanting to push stuff at you that you don't really need, 3) condescending and belittling if you aren't a wannabe professional musician like they are.

So I am always on the lookout for real music shops like this- run by people who care about more than the sale and are interested in long term growth of their customers. Ken was amazingly helpful, walked us through the selection of an instrument for our 8 year old beginner, recommended some books, and tuned the instrument for us before we left. I'll be coming back for anything else I need in the future!

Here's a place where you know who works on your instrument and it's done right with a quick turnaround time. Ken is a master artisan who'll dazzle you with his knowledge of guitars. I brought in a double-neck guitar that I was unable to play and he turned the 12-string neck into a nicely playable instrument. And he finished a day early! It feels good supporting local businesses, especially when their service is excellent. I'm happy that I found this place and I wouldn't hesitate to come back.

Great little guitar shop with a nice owner! They carry some musical instruments and tons of picks, sheet music & other accessories. They do repairs and have music lessons. They also just opened a second location in the Branford center. Check these two locations out!
