I called this store roughly 7 months ago looking for my Stolen Mandolin. The guy told me he would have seen or known if they had purchased any and hadn't in a long time. I got a voicemail from the guy I talked to, he tells me someone from a church donated a Mandolin, he checked the serial number I left him as a good shop should! Sure enough, it was a match.

This mandolin has been on my mind everyday since it was stolen and searched everyday to see if someone tried to sell it. Well, luckily I had called the right place and he enthusiastically let me know in a voicemail they have my mandolin. I had given up hope, now I'll never go to any store for any equipment/accessories and collection of strings I own. Thank you so much for looking out and letting me know ASAP, I am in tears of joy knowing I finally get my $1300 Mandolin back! You Rock as your sign says!

This place is effing rad! I had no idea it was here! Good selection and awesome staff that were super friendly to both me and my 5 year old son that was touching everything! If you want a non pretentious laid back spot look no further! Support your local shop! I picked up a nice 12 string acoustic today and am very pleased with it.

Love our local music store. Super fun to peruse and we have always received friendly service, especially from the owner Robin. While we want to add more instruments to our home, we aren't quite yet ready for another big purchase. So during a recent day date, we stopped by and picked up a couple egg shakers and a kalimba (thumb piano) to tide us over for now. We will be back when we're ready to add to our collection either temporarily via rental or permanently via purchase.

Really disappointed. this review is for the horrible experience that my little step brother had 1 year ago when he used to take guitar lessons. Our friends, classmates, & family warned us that the quality here don't match up to an excellent standard in lessons & instruments so we switched to another music store after trying it out anyways since we live nearby. and because it's cheaper.

The guitar that we purchased from here was low quality. at least it was below the retail price which Robin had kindly given us as a discount so that's for the 2 stars. You get what you pay for; cannot say anything more positive than that. The low rating is for the guitar lessons. my brother had not learn anything valuable and the teacher was very rude and demeaning to him. tried returning the guitar for a refund but there's no one at the front store & the store is really messy & disorganized.

So we decided not to return it cause we thought it was unprofessional how they dealt with the lessons. We tried calling to cancel my brothers lessons but we still got charged for lessons. Would never come back here again. really upset about this.

This place is so awesome and the staff and owner Robin, are so very helpful. I have rented a clarinet for three years through their school rental program. I felt the time was right to buy him a Yamaha clarinet. Finally lol. I called Robin and she ordered it for me and gave me a price less than the retail price. Then, after I counted up my savings from renting an instrument, I had a discount of over 50% from the retail price. When I gave it to my son, he was so appreciative, pleased and amazed with the tone. Thank you so much, and thanks for helping him continue his love for music.

My appreciation for the excellent customer service which I had received from the store on my last visit. The staff was warm and accommodating, and they were so helpful to me. There are lots of New and used instruments. I highly recommend this store.

Love this local gem! They are so nice and flexible. I used to take guitar lessons here, and they would always reschedule for me. I sadly moved to Alameda and had to stop lessons and didn't pick up my guitar for almost 2 years. I picked it back up and noticed the strings were rusty. I tried to re string myself, but one of the pegs melted into the guitar! It took less than a day to have it fixed! Support small local music stores and get great customer service!

Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and prices are reasonable. I have been to many music stores in the east bay area and I can confidently tell you that Rockin' Robbie's has one of the biggest collection of ukulele. What I am impressed with were not just the quantity of their selection, but especially the quality! They carry fantastic brands like Kala, Ohana, among other reputable brands. They also have an amazing in-house Luthier. I support local businesses and you should too.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Greeted me as soon as I entered the door and asked if I needed help. On the small side, but a decent inventory of both new and used guitars. Plenty of accessories and other band equipment. Street parking, but not difficult to find a spot. The strings I bought seemed a little pricey, but to be expected for D'addario. but other than that, great store.

Friendly. Gave me a black Friday deal a week before black friday. Nice shop with some interesting guitars and ukes you won't see at guitar center. Plus supporting local businesses! Would shop here again.

Was looking for a soprano saxophone to rent, this shop offer very reasonable fee schedules, even ends up we decide on looking to purchasing.but I appreciated shop's kindly also quick responds to my request, I felt they really care me even just a potential customer, yes, sure recommended this shop.

We stopped by to rent a flute for my son. They were super helpful and really know their stuff.

Got my sons violin here! They rent instruments which is awesome. I like to keep it local. loco Nice staff Knowledgeable staff Young Staff so have patience. Its a lil old school A lil small and crowded But hey i dont pay the bills. all i needed was a violin Mission accomplished! All i care about and prices are way fair. I wonder if they rent grand lol Will deff be back as my baby Mozart develops his music skills. i hope

What a great place! My daughter thought her saxophone was broken and would have to be repaired. Turns out that upgrading the mouth piece was all she needed. Carol took the time to find that right mouth piece for my daughter. The knowledge she took away today will benefit her in high school band.

It's been a couple of months since I showed up in a rush on a Sunday, returning from a long trip, to rent a trumpet for my son's school music lessons that were to start sometime that week (undetermined at the time). Robin, the owner, was so gracious and helpful when told her what I needed, and just took care of us. She made sure he'd have an instrument he'd enjoy learning on and caring for, and it was a brand new instrument which could convert from a rental to a purchase.

She showed me what he'd need to care of the instrument and provided a card with the website that would show him the basics. Many thanks to Robin for making a stressful situation so much easier and not stressful at all!

My daughter recently had an accident and snapped the neck of her cello. It was a very sad day for our family. We called in to the shop, they told us to come in so we went down there so they can take a look at the damage. Unfortunely we were not able to repair but the owner, Robin was amazing in her customer service and the solution she was able to provide! Robin was sympathetic in what happened as she stated she is a parent herself.

She is a definitely a great and honest business owner! Robin and her team at Rockin' Robbie's are amazing. If you're doing an instrument rental, they are the shop to support!

Robbie the owner, Demitri and other staff, and music teachers like George, are hands-down incredible and make this place the fun, chill spot it is. A Music lover's delight and overall an oasis in Concord. My son rents his trombone for under $40 a month, and receives music lessons from George. Lessons start at $30 for 30 min. The rental can also be on a rent-to-own basis, meaning if one decides to purchase the instrument instead of renting, the money previously given will be applied towards the purchase price. Robbie always tries to offer the best price for instruments and other supplies. I feel that the owner and her staff legitimately care about us as customers. Great local/family owned place to give your business to.

What can i say! This place is amazing! We rented a saxophone from them the last 2 years, they helped my son find the instrument that best fit him, they are easy to talk to for repairs, advise and purchasing equipment. Buying out his instrument was easy hassle free and amazing! The owner is a joy to chat with! I highly recommend them.

Robbie's is amazing. If you live in the area this is the place to go if you want to get person input on buying an instrument for your kid or yourself. Also a great place to rent instruments before you buy. Robin the owner spent close to 2 hours with me and my daughter selecting the perfect ukulele. Everyone there we have worked with over the last few years is just amazing.

Great place for lessons too. I just can't say enough about how knowledgeable and caring they are. They don't have everything but I would always start there before but from one of the big corporations like GC.

Incredible place. My son has been taking musical lesson with Vince for SEVERAL years now. I say musical, because he started with piano, tried Sax for a short time (that didn't fit!), moved to drums, and is now playing the electric bass. Vince quickly brought him to a level of proficiency in each. However, given that Vince is a very respected electric bass player himself (check out Youtube for Vince Rillera), my son has really taken to the bass. He's truly learning from a master! Vince is great with kids, teens, and adults alike!

The staff at Rockin' Robbies is fantastic, many of whom have been with Robin for years. Their prices are very reasonable and Robin usually finds a way of bringing them down even lower! As a music teacher herself, Robin is more interested in getting someone started in music, or enhancing their love of music, than becoming wealthy making a few more dollars off of her customers. She'll be the first to admit that that's probably not the best business model, but that's just who she is!

I know this sounds like a sales pitch by Robin! But I can assure you that we are just regular customers that love this place. Robin and her staff have always done well by us and we wouldn't consider going anywhere else.

Walked in and was immediately greeted and asked how they could help. I told the gal (didn't get her name, but she was super nice!) that I was looking for a soprano ukulele. She was able to show me what they had, made great recommendations, and even gave me a great deal since I was buying a case as well. Price was extremely reasonable. I'll definitely be back for any music needs in the future!

Everytime I went here the staff was very friendly and helpful. I know very little about music and normally only come to pick up things for my sister who plays instruments. The staff are already very welcoming and knowledgeable. There are a large variety of instruments available for purchase or rent as well.

We are renting a cello from Rockin Robbies for our 11 year old 5th grader (you know she had to pick the largest instrument on the list, ugh). I walked into Rockin Robbies with no idea what I needed and they walked me through everything step by step. I walked out of their with exactly what I needed in under 30 min. Friendly, knowledgable owner and staff. We have rented instruments here and my son is taking drum lessons. When he first started band in fifth grade, Robin took a lot of time letting him try out the band instruments and encouraging him. He's been playing trumpet for three years now. They have reasonable rental prices and a good equity program if you want to eventually buy the instrument. Great place!

I had $35 in my pocket and I needed a hard case for my daughter. Went to Guitar Center and found nothing. Before trying the world's largest pawnshop (ebay), I decided to try this place. I had passed it countless times but never stopped in. Initially, the guy working there said he didn't have anything but suddenly remembered a case up in the attic height shelf. He told me I could have it for $30. I feel like he went out of his way to help us with what we needed. Next time I think of going to Guitar Center, I'll go here first!

This shop is a special place indeed! I was so happy to discover what is a truly a gem and one of the last honest-to-goodness music stores standing. Robin and her band of merry musicians are knowledgeable, patient and awesome to deal with. Repairs? The best around. I always walk out the door with a smile and look forward to my next visit.
