Edwards Instrument Co. first began designing trumpets in 1994 and in 1998 established the first generation of Edwards Trumpets. The Generation I Bb/C Trumpets were constructed as interchangeable instruments. Since 1998, improvements in design led to the introduction of the Generation II Bb/C Trumpets.
The Edwards Instrument Company was established in 1989 to meet the needs of professional musicians who have very specific ideas about how their instruments should sound and feel. There are two companies under the Getzen umbrella: Getzen Company, Inc. and Edwards Instrument Co. The Edwards production team is located in the Getzen facility.
The Edwards Team is dedicated to providing brass musicians with the highest quality instruments made today. Through innovations in design, attention to detail and unmatched customer service, our small company has quickly emerged as the industry leader in custom brass instrument manufacturing. Christan Griego is Director of Development & Marketing for the Edwards Instrument Company.
Edwards offers numerous small and large bore tenor trombone configurations that will meet the needs of the most discerning musicians. All Edwards bass trombones can be configured to achieve an ideal sound in orchestral, wind band, jazz or commercial settings. I bought my trombone (T-350 HB) back in 2014. The quality of customer service when I was fitted to my horn was first class. However, this review isn't about my fitting. My review is about the stupendous customer service I received when my horn needed some warranty work done on it. When I got in contact with Lexi, she quickly set me up to have one of their valve sections and bells on loan while I sent mine in for the repair. Lexi made everything so easy and stress free, something not easily done during these times.
She gave me a detailed run down on what work was going to be done and gave me updates on my repair as well. When I got my horn back it looked like I had a brand new valve section and tuning slides (I had some lacquer wear on my tuning slides that I wasn't even expecting to get relacquered). Lexi just let me know that they got back their equipment.
I just want to say that I am extremely happy with everything Edwards and Lexi has done for me over the past few months. Quality people and a quality product! Thank you so much to all the technicians for your wonderful work and Lexi for everything you've done to make this stress free!

I sent my trumpet in for some repairs, and I have been nothing but happy with my experience. Lexi is fantastic and responded to my emails with all the information I needed and in a timely manner! I'm still hoping to make my way to the shop one day, but for now, I will always recommend Edwards to my colleagues.

Appalled by their lack of professionalism. Sent my horn in for repairs, and it has been there for two months. I love this horn so much, but they won't fix it. They didn't even offer to send a loaner, unless I was Ok with paying the shipping (which would be a lot of money). They said 3-4 weeks, and it's looking like 3 months. I understand that things happen and they are busy, but they quoted me a time line, and communication has been almost non existent unless I call and harass.
When I do talk to people noone will take ownership of the issue. I have lost out on a lot of gig money, and a chance to play in an award winning group because of them. Bottom line, once you've spent your money you are no longer a priority. I've tried being patient and professional, but I am done.
