Reeve Violins opened in Boise, Idaho in 2008 and moved to Denver, Colorado in 2015. Tyrel and Lucas Reeve are the fourth generation in their family to become luthiers. They began training at a very early age with their father, David Reeve, who learned from his grandfather P. C. Bearden, and furthered his studies with many prominent makers and repairmen including the legendary Simone Sacconi. Even though we are internationaly known, we are still a family run shop that takes pride in serving our community.

After an unfortunate accident while attempting to tune my daughter's violin, a broken E string and coordinating fine tuner peg led me to Reeve Violins. I called that evening around 10pm to leave a voicemail message at the store to see if I could set an appointment soon to bring it in for repair. Much to my surprise, Brittany answered the phone.
I was a little flustered and embarrassed to be calling so late and yet reaching her. She was gracious, kind, and understanding, and assured me that her brother-in-law could help me the next day. She also asked that I call her before I headed over to the shop so they would remain open LATER, if necessary, to help me out! I called her the next day when I was planning to head up to the shop and she had already confirmed her brother-in-law was expecting me, and had the string that I needed.
When I arrived at their beautiful shop (10 minutes before they closed), he was just as nice as she had been and quickly and thoroughly got to work on my violin. While replacing the string, he discovered I had bent the fine tuner and replaced the tailpiece for me to resolve the issue. He helped me well after closing time with a happy heart. I swear they didn't charge me as much as they should have, either.
This shop has a fantastic selection of violins for purchase as well as rent-to-own, and their repair service was impeccable. The owners and operators of the shop were so knowledgeable and helpful I know I will never go anywhere else. A very great experience!
