Sometimes we use the phrase "full-line music store" to describe what we do. Essentially, that means we sell products across all musical instrument categories as well as pro audio installations or rentals, music lessons, and school band instrument rentals. We also service and repair instruments from piccolos to pianos.
PLUS, we teach lessons in our school of music for everything we sell. We'll even buy your used instruments. Whether you're a traveling professional in town for a gig or starting out on your musical journey, Blues Angel Music is your one-stop shop for everything you need.

Blues Angel is the best music store - bar none. They have the best selection of items and a staff that is second to none. I love doing business with them as they have the most cordial employees who are most knowledgeable and courteous nation wide. I wouldn't think about doing business with anyone else!

Totally appreciate everything about Blues Angel Music and the awesome team of folks that work there. They have been my local "go to" here in Pensacola ever since the night I cracked a set of Hi-Hats back in 2016 a few hours before our band took the stage and realized I accidentally left my spare cymbals back in Alabama. Now that we have moved back home to the Panhandle they continue to take care of me and my family with our music gear needs. I can truly say. Blues Angel Music Rocks!

Best music store in Pensacola! I've been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. The staff is always very kind, knowledgeable and helpful. The selection is amazing, you can walk in with just about any budget and walk out with an instrument you're proud of. Love this store with all my heart!

Very knowledgeable staff. Low pressure or the closest to zero pressure you can get. A lot of guitar stores are so afraid of their guitars getting damaged that they will hover over you and not let you research peacefully. I came in to look at a Les Paul tribute and a studio. Even though they're not Gibson dealers they had some to choose from. And the first Fender I picked up was a pro series made in California that I almost bought instead of the Les Paul. Prices are good and the guitars that I picked up all felt great.
After I decided to buy the studio Les Paul, salesman gave me information about it that I had no idea. Really useful information. They have a fantastic amp selection that again I was able to grab a cord and plug into anyone without somebody hovering. I can't tell you how many guitar stores I've been in to where I would not purchase from them for that very reason. Salesman standing over you sweating that you might turn the amp on without their guidance. They have a wide selection of whatever you need. I can't recommend them more. Top notch

I'm so happy with my experience at Blue Angel yesterday! We've never had anyone at a music store as helpful as our salesperson Chris was - he helped us looking at acoustic guitars, gave demos of different options and made personal recommendations based on what I needed. I'm thrilled with my new guitar and thanks to Chris we'll be back for future purchases and will give recommendations to friends!

I always have a great experience any time I've been at Blue Angel Music. Great customer service. Everyone is very friendly and more than happy to assist with any questions I may have. I ordered a cello stand and when it came in they called to let me know it arrived. It took me longer than I had planned to pick it up.but they didn't mind. I appreciate them working with me. I would recommend anyone to go to Blue Angel Music for their music needs!

Our church was looking for a new piano and Blues Angel Music carried the brands and models we were interested in. A few ladies from the church visited them to try a couple of models out and met with Barry, they were impressed with not only the pianos but Barry's helpfulness, so myself and the treasurer went down to look at them and ask some questions.
We were very pleased with Barry as well. We went back a couple weeks later and made the purchase. Barry was extremely helpful and answered all our questions. I would highly recommend Blues Angel Music to anyone.

These guys are legendary in Pensacola and as a customer I get it. In addition to being a FULL service music store they also do a lot of great things in the area in the schools and throughout the community. More about their foundation later but first about the store. The place is very well stocked and organized with instruments of all kinds from grand pianos to kazoos and everything in between.
They have both new and used instruments as well as gorgeous vintage choices. All the accessories and parts are here and they have professional people who can help you with repairs, instructions and essentially everything to do with your instruments or equipment. Regarding equipment they will design and install your integrated audio, video, and lighting solutions then will help you learn how to use the equipment, and be there for any maintenance you need.
They don't just sell and rent instruments, but they teach you how to play, too! Their professional musicians teach voice, guitar, drums, bass, mandolin, ukulele, piano, violin, cello, double bass and more. If you've got a kid in school they've got rental packages specific to their specific instrument and school requirements with rentals starting at $18 a month.
I have to give a big shout out to Jim DeStafney who helped me recently pick out a new bass guitar. (I'm teaching myself bass after 50 years of playing guitar) He talked me through all the considerations then after I finished the purchase he took it in the back room to adjust the action to a best level for a newbie like me, he is a real professional with a heart oglf gold!
About their foundation, The Blues Angel Music Foundation works to make a positive impact on the Greater Pensacola Area through promoting music education, instruction, and therapy throughout the lives of any and every individual they touch. They seek out and support organizations, scholarships, and other efforts to engage the mind and body through music.
I know that they accept donations of used instruments and distribute them freely as well as provide many new instruments & they place a lot of ukuleles in classrooms throughout the city. There's also a huge series of raffles at the really terrific Blues Angel Music Blues on the Bay Concert Series. I go to these super Sunday concerts but haven't won anything just yet.
Bottom line: This is the real deal music store that can handle all your musical and electronic needs with professional, friendly and caring people. Plus they give you a veterans discount, highly recommended! https://bluesangelmusic.com/

I brought my 2015 PRS S2 guitar in to have a new pickup switch installed and figured I might as well get a setup done. They got it done in two days and wow! Taylor, the luthier/tech who did the job, had not only done the setup but had also addressed several issues I hadn't even mentioned including a small blemish in the neck finish. Whatever he did the spot is gone now and I can't even see where it was.
The setup is now perfect and the guitar plays like a dream. I've played it for at least 12 hours and the strings are still perfectly in tune, the new switch is smooth and quiet, the action is low and fast and the intonation is perfect. Blues Angel is what a music store should be. If you need anything done make sure to ask for Taylor, this guy really knows what he is doing and he takes pride in his work-something woefully lacking in the big box chain McMusic experience. P.S If you have any musical instruments or accessories that you can spare please bring them in and donate them to Blues Angel Foundation. I donated my Epiphone SG beginner guitar. Your gift could help out a fellow music lover or student in need.

If you want extremely professional service that goes above and beyond, ask for Starlin. I was in town recently for work at the nearby Navy base and my team ran into a job-stopping issue that was unforeseen to us. Long story short (I'll spare you the small details), we needed about a dozen or so audio cables and we needed them fast. Upon walking into this great music store, we were greeted by Starlin.
I explained our issue to him and the urgency of how fast we needed what we needed and all I can say is that he went above and beyond to get us EXACTLY what we needed and the right amount, which required some searching on his behalf. He also made sure we were satisfied with what we got. He saved our butts and we couldn't be more grateful. This music store is one of the best businesses I've ever step foot in and it shows within the quality of their employees, such as Starlin. They also have a cool friendly cat, an awesome bird, and a drum set made out of fish tanks. So awesome.

Now this a music store! Jim and crew are excellent and very, very knowledgeable. Prices are fair and there is an incredible inventory for beginners to advanced players. If you need something fixed.take it to them. If you live in the Crestview area, don't waste your time with the local store.make the trip to Pensacola.well worth it.

Great experience! Dealing with Jim DeStafney at Blues Angel Music was a real pleasure. He helped me purchase a high quality guitar at a very good price. Throughout the process, I was convinced that my satisfaction (with the guitar and the experience) was an important priority to Jim. You can't get the kind of service and expertise Jim provides to his customers at a big box store!
I live across the country from Blues Angel Music, however, my guitar arrived on-time and as Jim promised, expertly packed to protect it on it's journey to me. Especially if you're looking to purchase an Eastman guitar, Blues Angel Music is the place to go.

Took a guitar there that I bought for my daughter. They told me on that MONDAY, they would have it done by the following SATURDAY. Come the following MONDAY, I had not heard from them so I called about the status of the guitar I left. They claim it was done and that they called me on the following FRIDAY to come get it. I have Verizon and I get a signal EVERYWHERE. I had no missed calls nor no voicemails from them. Then, when I pick it up and pay them $50.50, I get home, pull the guitar out and its not even tuned up.

Have you ever been in love? I haven't but Blues Angel Music might have been the closet I have gotten. (Im sorry all ex-girlfirends that might read Yelp reviews but from what I remember from our relationships, you never read Yelp reviews just like i have never been in love.) Let me go over the best parts in three parts: 1. Animals They have a Macaw (or parrot, I do not know birds because I have never been in love) who is named Jojo & a black kitty named Angel.
I could stop there because guitar center does not have a cat & a bird. Also, I have never been in love so petting cat surrounded by guitars was pretty close. 2. Hospitality Grab a cup of coffee on a cold Pensacola morning in the store, chat with Nan & the crew about life & realize that even if I have never been in love, spending mornings with them sure is nice. 3. Beatles There is a Beatles cover band that will play in the store & they are amazing because they use all of the same gear as the Beatles did.
So when I hear the same exact tones as on the masters of the albums, I know that I have never been in love but the guitars sound so good that I don't worry about it. Summary Of Points: I thought I was in love once with this L.A. Lady but I think I was wrong as I grew older but I don't see why you would ever go to a music store that is not this one. They have a cat & reasonable prices.

This place is the gold standard of customer service! While visiting Pensacola (w/o my guitar) I stopped in here to get my guitar fix. The friendly staff (Big boy) welcomes us at the door and immediately we felt at ease. They have a great lines of acoustics which they let me play all I wanted. There was a used Epi Texan there that was a TONE MONSTER!
After meandering around the place for about 1/2 hr, well sated in acoustic joy we left. As we were going out the door, The friendly staff thanked us for coming in. Likewise I thanked them for allowing me to strum on their guitars. We walked outside. Then the nicest thing happened. TONY, comes running outside asking us "Did we get a cup of coffee?" "Did we get a magazine?" "Did the staff help us?" and "Was there anything he could do?" We told him we were fine and had accomplished all we came to do.
He graciously thanked us for coming in and hoped we'd return again someday soon. We talked guitars for another minute or so, then drove off. We had a great experience there, if you go I believe you will have the same. The prices looked right too. (but it never hurts to haggle a bit) :) If I had been driving instead of flying, that Epiphone may have left with me :) Kudos to Blue Angel Music!
