We've recently expanded our little shop to a second room, our show room! Our show room is decorated with vintage furniture and turn of the century artwork. Within the show room, we encourage our customers to try out instruments of their choice prior to making a purchase or rental agreement. The show room is comfortable, spacious, and provides excellent acoustics when trying out one of our instruments.

Mick and Julien are fantastic, very good service and extremely knowledgeable. I would not trust going anywhere else, I go to Loveland for all my equipment needs. Their playing room is also beautiful and sounds great to try fiddles in. Buying a violin from them is truly a fun experience. Go to Loveland!

My wife had a performance scheduled for Sunday, so naturally her bow died on Saturday about noon. We called Loveland and rushed down to see if they could help. Julian was very helpful and said he would take a look and see if he could do anything. Unfortunately the bow expert was only available on Friday and Tuesday but they had a reasonably priced backup so all is good. They have a beautiful selection of instruments and are very knowledgeable. As newcomers to Santa Rosa, we've found our go to place for stringed instruments.

What turned out to be a truly horrible expirence! Two years ago we purchased a violin here for our daughter. At the time we paid 3500 for the violin. Since that time my daughter has switched to a different instrument so we decided to sell the violin. Upon contacting several other shops they let us know the we had grossly over paid and had been ripped off.
What was sold to us as a 3500.00 violin, turns out to be worth roughly 500.00. We have now had several shops tell us how horrible they feel in knowing a violin shop would sell items so dishonestly. Very disappointed. Will be reporting them to the B.B.B.

I recently decided to take up the violin, a friend gave me his old one and I took it to Loveland to have it checked out. I was immediately given the hard sell about how I should replace this "piece of junk" with a new $450 violin from Loveland, with custom this and special that, they hand cut the bridge for every violin! I felt like I was being sold a car by a smarmy dealer. I decided to rent a violin instead from another local company.

I've known Mick for 40 years and he is painfully honest. I wouldn't let anyone else work on my instruments. As for a "$450 dollar violin, " that is the absolute bottom of the student violin range if you want a fiddle that actually plays. I look forward to purchasing a high-end Chinese-made violin in the near future for my outdoor gigs. I know I'll get the best bang for the buck from this shop.

I am writing after reading the other review and having had almost the opposite experience. I went into to Loveland (highly recommended by many people) for a repair on my cello after being told by another instrument repair that I should replace all my pegs and should probably get a new instrument. But, Loveland said my instrument was fine, they fixed the problem in a few minutes for 5 dollars and I have had no problems since.
