The shop will be
closed Friday 4/8, Saturday 4/9 and Monday 4/11 while we attend
a repair conference in Baltimore. Jen, the owner and Byron Ford. We are strictly a repair shop - it's all we do and we love what we do! We are located at 1908 Ridge Road East - in Irondequoit (Rochester, NY 14622) - between Culver Road and Goodman Street. Our building is BEHIND Vittorio's Tux Shop. Eastridge Family Restaurant and U-Haul are across the street. There are not too many people who repair musical instruments for a living and even fewer who do it well!

I would not take an instrument in for repair to this business again. I brought my son's flute in to get repaired, and asked for two very specific things to be done for the flute. The repair person took it upon herself to make several additional repairs to the flute, without consulting me prior, and then charged me for the time and supplies for all of these repairs, totaling $80.
I had only paid $125 for the flute. I told them that transparency of prices would have been appreciated, and she said "we don't have a flat hourly rate for woodwinds." WTF? They charge different rates per hour? Depending on what? How rich a person they think you might be? I believe that all of these repairs were eventually necessary, however I would have liked to have made that decision myself.
Neither my son nor his flute teacher recommended these additional repairs, and it's likely we could have waited. I am deeply disappointed by this business's lack of transparency, upfront costs, and customer service. However, they did a decent job of repairing the flute. Ok-I called them and they offered a refund. I offered to split the cost instead. So there's that.

Saxophone repair. Sadly my son is a little careless with his saxophone most recently he dropped it bent the front of the sax and lower notes were out of tune. handed it in and two days later it was back in shape and playing beautiful again. We've used them before. always friendly, skilled, professional service! Location. it's a little hidden behind Metro mattress!
