Neil and Suzzie at Vegas Guitars has been taking care of my guitars since 2001. They are hands down the BEST guitar repairman in Las Vegas. Being a pro artist, they have also taken care of me on last minute repairs. His prices are good and the quality is second to none! They get my highest recommendation.

Neil has setup 3 of my guitars. The difference in how they played afterwards was amazing. He takes pride in his work and really wants to be sure you are happy with the results. He takes the time to find out what you are looking for. It's obvious Neil is passionate about his work and his attention to detail is awesome. I found Neil many years ago when I picked up a Fender Strat and had little familiarity with setting them up. He did such a wonderful job that we began talking custom made instruments. I now own two Smith guitars. One was made to order and the other I bought off the rack because it's action was absolutely amazing. Since then we have made modifications and/or repairs to those and other instruments in my collection. I couldn't be more pleased with the craftsmanship and how reasonable his prices are. Neil is my guy for life and I have no need to look elsewhere.

I just rebuilt my old Mexican strat I had since I was a kid. The guts were good, but I need some help getting it professionally set up. I did the best I could on my own, but I could tell it just wasn't quite dialed in. I dropped off my guitar after having a good conversation with Brandon and felt really good about who I just left my guitar with.

Neil is amazing! Top quality luthier as well as quite a good communicator. Took my two Fender Stratocasters as well as an acoustic electric Martin in to Neil to fix for me. He did a great job on all three. The Martin in particular, had a large crack near the bridge (because we live in the desert) and Neil was able to make it almost disappear. My guitars all play great now and couldn't have done it without Neil.

Neil is a miracle worker! Worked on 2 of my guitars, now they feel like a million bucks. Perfect action on my acoustic guitar and suuuuper fat sound on my rebuilt electric guitar.

Neal is a great resource if you need help with getting your guitar back in working order. I have a 1991 PRS that I dropped off at the big box places before and they wouldn't put in the time to make it right. It was rattling and had fret problems. Neal took the time to take it apart and clean up my out of alignment frets. I'm no guitar expert but I know that I've dropped this guitar off other places and got it back in the same condition I left it (aka messed up). Neal got it sounding like the beast of a machine that it is. Highly recommend him.

So, I have been playing guitar for over 35 years, There are things that I just cannot do right. I have tried others in the area, who pretty much knew nothing, OR took my money and did not do what I asked! Then I found Neil Smith, Well, I can assure you that you need to go see Neil, He takes each job personally and you know that when you go over the guitar with him. He is VERY meticulous with what he does and he does the best job I have ever seen. I recommend him VERY Highly. He did an amazing job on my guitar!

Neil is an old school craftsman. He loves talking about guitars and the possibilities in building them. I have a custom Smith guitar which is as close to an "everything axe" as you can get. It's a beautiful piece of work. I have also taken him several other guitars and basses for setups and/or modifications. All were finished with meticulous attention to detail and played like butter after.

Neil has done four setups for me, and all were amazing. In one case, I had a small issue with the fret ends (I was admittedly super picky) and he took it back and cleaned them up to perfection. Another one was on a fairly inexpensive instrument, and it came back playing better than some of my more expensive guitars. I won't let anyone else touch my guitars but Neil and his new tech, Rick.

I took in two guitars for setups and was extremely happy with the friendly service and work. When picking up the second, I mentioned to Neil that my Les Paul wasn't playing as well as when I got it back- he said to bring it back in. I didn't, but many weeks later he called to follow up. They truly care about their work, do a great job and back it up. Don't go anywhere else!

This business is the only stop you need to make if you're a professional guitarist. This shop is 1st rate for any type of guitar or bass repair! Meticulous and detailed work. The only bad thing I can say is you might have to wait, but then good things come to those who wait! Neil installed a Hipshot ghost bridge and a complete GraphTech midi preamp system with all the bells and whistles on my 2011 Fender Precision. Did a fantastic job!
