Corilon violins

Thank you to Corilon and to Dr. Roeben for their time, their help and for providing with such a beautiful instrument. I really fell for the sound that was posted online and I can assure you that it's very representative of what the instrument can produce. The fact that the website is so well designed, so well updated and that Corilon replied within less than an hour to all my emails (even a year after my purchase) shows that it's a very serious house.

I can definitely recommend Corilon to advanced conservatoire students or former students (such as myself). PS. I was a little worried about the concept of shipping a violin, but once you see how well packed it is, you know nothing will happen to it.

I have to thank Dr. Roeben for the infinite patience and competence she showed towards me. Last year I purchased a violin from Corilon attributed to Collin Mezin (father). When I felt the need to change it for a superior violin, first a Pilar was sent to me to test, then, since I wasn't convinced, the following week I received two more violins to test (in fact I had the opportunity to try 3 violins). Dr. Roeben (after having understood my needs and tastes) had suggested a violin from the 1700s (but which was outside the budget I had initially given): however when I played the violin for the first time, it was a shock lightning. An extraordinary instrument (Italian-French violin).

The advice was right. All my doubts were answered quickly and competently. The patience and trust (sending me three instruments to test) shown towards me justify a great gratitude towards Corilon: thanks to you I found the violin I dreamed of.

I ordered the CV Selectio Opus 1 violin after some correspondence with Corilon, following their recommendation for this particular model. They worked with me in timing the shipping so that it would arrive at a convenient time. There was very clear tracking info and notification of the delivery. The violin arrived well-packed and ready to play. The Opus 1 is an excellent playing violin.

A big sound projecting well and quite easy to play. The Tonica strings work very well with it. And the carbon fiber bow is much more than what I expected. The silver molded case is quite nice as well. Very good value for the quality you get. The transaction overall was very satisfactory and I am quite happy with the purchase.

They communicate very well with your purchase and see to it that your product gets delivered with the utmost care in mind. You'll never go wrong purchasing a violin from them.

Instruments were excellent and as described. Of the 3 instruments I ordered I picked two. The one I returned within the refund window was refunded in full. Shipping to America was easy and fault-free. Thank you Corilon.

Based in Australia I've been a customer via online for 5 years as my daughter has from a 1/4 to a full sized violin and had a wonderful experience. Great instrument choices, accurate descriptions and listening to the audio samples really helps as well as good advice.

I recently bought a violin from this shop. The process of choosing the violin online is extremely convenient because every violin that is offered by the shop has its audio on the website so you can hear what it is like without travelling to Germany to hear it. The violin I just bought is beautiful and gorgeous just like the website picture. The sounds are also similar to the description of the shop.

I was given the bows, the case and the set of new strings for free as well (actually I asked for it). I truly appreciate what the shop has given me so far. Will certainly go back in the future.

Where else can you try 30 violins in one day? Or, if you can't visit, where else can you spend hours, days, weeks trolling through so many details and sound samples online to choose your best fit at your leisure? I had a wonderful time making my "short list" of 9 violins, and then a lovely (albeit rather hot) day from 9:30 till 17:30 trying out all the violins Dr Annette Roeben provided (which were perfectly sorted by sound category). Dr Roeben was extremely helpful, knowing exactly when to leave me and my husband alone and when to assist or advise.

We were even allowed to make recordings with Corilon's setup when I couldn't choose between two beautiful violins. Be sure to bring enough cash if you want to take your purchase away with you on the day though! I had to leave my choice behind, but will order online as soon as I get back from holiday.
