Creative Music Center is a community music store offering music lessons, instrument rentals, instrument repairs, and sales of intermediate and professional instrument. We are located at 701 Main Street (Route 25) in Monroe, CT. Creative Music Center serves music teachers, school music programs and music students of all ages located in Monroe, Newtown, Trumbull, Easton, Shelton, Milford, New Haven, West Haven, Orange, Stratford, Oxford, Danbury, Southbury, Ridgefield, Darien, New Canaan, Stamford, Greenwich, Norwalk, Westport, Weston and Fairfield.

Lessons are offered for traditional instruments, including piano instruction, guitar, bass and voice lessons etc. Renting a quality, brand-name instrument is an inexpensive and practical way to get started in your school program. Our repair technicians use the finest quality tools and supplies to repair the most delicate of instruments.

Creative Music Centers' private lesson program has been in existence since 1984. Since our studio opened, our accomplished and dedicated teaching staff has worked with hundreds of musicians of all ages and of all abilities, whether they are starting out on an instrument or getting back to an instrument.

Liz grew up playing the flute, alto sax and percussion. She studied flute performance at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music during her senior year of high school. She continued playing and performing in college, but after college, she switched gears, deciding to pursue a career as a journalist. She graduated from the Medill School of Journalism and then moved to New York City. After more than 20 years in the field, she retired from journalism to stay home with her kids. When both her kids were in school, she discovered a recently shuddered music store in the neighboring community of Monroe. Seeing an opportunity to return to her musical roots, she purchased the store and immediately began serving the musical needs of the area and surrounding communities. Liz's husband, a former trumpet player, is in the sports marketing business. Her two teenagers are involved in musical theater.
