I'm renting my daughters violin from here. She is in 5th grade and just starting orchestra. I didn't realize you could rent to own here. Another cool thing is if she outgrows this violin and we need to size up the money we've put towards it can be applied to the next violin, up to 12 mo. of payments I believe. Really great program for anyone wanting to experiment qnd learn a new instrument.

I'm writing this review as a guitarist, therefore the criteria of my review is almost entirely from my experience with the guitar department. As a guitarist, this shop is hands down my #1 choice for basic maintenance/work. If/when you need your guitar tuned/restrung, this is the place to go. For this type of work, the prices are SIGNIFICANTLY better than at every other shop(past or present) in town. Specifically, their main guitar guy Marco is not only a great guitar tech who knows his stuff, but he is an amazing guy and a pleasure to talk to.

He has always been upfront and honest with me. If he's uncertain about about a specific tuning/string setup that I asked for, then he let's me know BEFORE I leave my guitars there. If it's going to take him several business days, he lets me know upfront. Every time I've received my instruments back from here, they are tuned and set exactly as I asked for. ***If you have a guitar with a Floyd Rose tremolo or another floating bridge, this is THE shop to go to*** -Electronic Sound and Percussion charged me 3x as much money to change strings/tuning on a Floyd Rose -When Outlaw Music was still open in town, they also quoted 3x as much money as Morgenroth for a restring/tune of a Floyd Rose. -To specify, two of my floating bridge guitars are 7-strings which I've had Marco down-tune to Drop G or lower.

And still, no matter how low of a tuning I requested, or no matter the gauge or number of strings, the price and the quality of the work has been consistent. *I have had my Floyd Rose 7-string(s) restrung and re-tuned THREE TIMES at Morgenroth before it costed as much as one single re-tune/restring for a 6-string Floyd Rose at ESP Aside from Marco and the guitar department, I've always been greeted and offered assistance upon entering the store.

I recently purchased a guitar from here! The service was great. The fellow working the guitar section is very nice and way too easy to talk to. An hour and a half had passed before I'd realized how much time had passed! I would strongly advise doing your instrument shopping here!

Awesome local music store. Great service, and employees that really care about their customers and products. Don't hesitate to inquire about inventory or place an order for music. Plenty of options for all price ranges.

I'm up to my third child in purchasing instruments for school band and orchestra from Morgenroth and I can't say enough good about how friendly they are and how fairly they treat us when we are buying and trading in instruments. I am a lifetime customer they are the best!

I went to go get information about buying my very first guitar. I know zero about them and I told the guy as much. He was really unhelpful and hard to get information out of. I was totally ready to purchase a guitar but decided to buy somewhere else rather than give these people money. Specifically, every time I asked about what size I would need he laughed at me and say that I wouldn't like any of the guitars he had and went on a rant about shipping and availability.

He scolded my wife for how she was holding the guitar (how would she know how to hold it? We just told him we didn't know anything!) He told us we wouldn't even want to look at a nicer guitar without saying why. I told him 3 different times that I just wanted basic guidance on how to pick one as a beginner and still couldn't get an answer. I finally walked out of the guitar room because I was done with him - when I stepped out my wife actually extracted SOME information from him and even found a guitar she thought looked good.

The price was right and everything - I just couldn't stomach doing business with him. I understand if you're an experienced player maybe you appreciate the service in here - but what we got was not informative. Go somewhere else or buy online - I would not recommend anyone go here for a guitar.

Took my guitar in to fix some high frets and for general set up. The guys in the guitar shop got me squared away in a day! No more high frets, action nice and low, guitar sounds great. Super friendly and very generous pricing. Great local shop with a bit of everything.

Morgenroth has a nice selection of sheet music. Generally they cover most of the bases a music store needs to cover and they have one of best selections in town. I cannot speak to the quality of the teachers giving lessons because we've never gone for lessons here. The guitar guy is nice and re-strings your guitar for free when you buy strings here.

This is my complete honest review : Morgenroth music has been around and serving Missoula MT for quite a long time. There new location is great! (They Moved awhile ago) Great customer service and knowledge about every instrument they carry. Seriously! Check them out and throw out some questions because they know exactly what fits your needs. Great selection of guitars (acoustic or electric), Drums, great piano companies carried, musical brass or string instruments for a kid who wants to learn music in school, and the best selection of PA system equipment I've seen in easily 150 miles in any direction you go.

I have rented multiple times for PA systems my DJ company can use. If you are a guitar enthusiast I strongly consider giving them a shot. I've been a customer for many years growing up in Missoula and always will return!
