Qualifying gear $25 or over gets shipped to you for FREE via our favorite carriers, FedEx - ground, or USPS, to all 'lower 48' U.S. states. Alaska and Hawaii, expedited shipping, international shipping usually run a little more (more info on these below). There are a few of exceptions to our free shipping which include some in-store gear along with items that are designated 'Local Pickup Only.'
It's all about the music, so we select quality, well-made guitars at all price levels - whether it's a custom OM built by hand, a value priced beginner acoustic for smaller hands, or something in between. We've been helping musicians find the best guitar for their musical needs for 30 years, and always include a free set up from our luthiers with every new instrument.

Big selection of guitars and other string instruments, a few others. Repair shop upstairs. Spacious store. The store workers were pretty nice, especially considering we inadvertently walked in when they were about to close. Lots of gear, cords, accessories. looks more professional than the other similar store in town.

I've been coming here off and on for years. At the beginning of October this year a bought a Collings mandolin, and it played great "out of the box". I took it in for the free setup included with purchase this past week and while I thought it played well before, it plays even better after the setup, and plays like butter and pretty much explodes with sound.

Such a good atmosphere. I love going into mass st. Music. The staff is amazing, the inventory is awesome, they have dedicated isolated rooms to play in (that have amps), the space is so much larger than it originally appears from the outside, and they'll let you play anything knowing very well that you arent going to buy it. They also offer a variety of services. Best guitar shop in Lawrence

They're a helpful, friendly bunch. I've been in there several times with various questions and they almost always have a helpful answer. Their repair service is very reliable, just super busy - be ready to be without your instrument for a bit! It's a great place for beginners and experienced musicians.

Excellent service as always from the people here. They are very knowledgeable, genuinely act like they are glad to see me when I come in and greet me by my name, which makes me feel appreciated. As far as top of the line, new and vintage professional instruments, they have the best selection in Lawrence and, in my opinion, the entire state of Kansas.
