I've been coming here for years and have had my record player repaired several times and always buy records when I come in. Very reasonably priced and such an amazing collection. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area, there's nothing else like it

Regardless of how often I visit there is almost always a new selection of vinyls in circulation. I literally never leave empty handed. Last time I was in, I was going to buy a pair of speakers that caught my eye but I had no idea how to integrate into my current set up. The owner made sure I knew what I would need and even hooked me up with a matching amp - all of which works perfectly.

I've heard he was knowledgeable from people with opinions I trust but evidently he has to feel motivated to help you fix whatever you want fixed. So I wouldn't consider it professional just more so knowledgeable himself. You'd probably be better served by seeking knowledge from the Internet forums than patronizing here. The record store downtown Roanoke would be preferable to here therefore for records.

I am not an Uptown Audio customer but I had heard of Bill and saw some of his advice on various sites. I reached out to him in the hopes that he could help me with some questions I had about my system. Bill was prompt on answering my questions and his advice was spot on! The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable. The vinyl prices were very fair. I got one of my favorite albums for only a couple bucks. His grading of the vinyl is also very accurate. One of the records I bought was graded as good but turned out to play much better than I expected. This is a great place with a nice selection of records, turn tables, and speakers.

Owner is an audio and electronics expert. Friendly, knowledgeable service and attention to details. Always listens to the customer's needs and desires. Salem/Roanoke is lucky to have an audio and music shop of this high caliber in the area.

Vinyl albums are very overpriced. You can buy a brand new LP elsewhere for about $10 less than they sell the same album USED. I am all about "buying local" and supporting small busines, but not if they are price gouging their customers.

Got me back into vinyl in style. Very knowledgable. Have been several times. My music / man cave has an incredible sounding Rega setup. Liked it so much, went back for a bedroom kit. Had the project table, but got an amazing Grado cartridge/ needle and Cambridge Audio Amp and speakers. Got great sounding equipment and learned a lot along the way. I am and will continue to be a return customer.

Very nice store with a really knowledgeable owner that has great audio prices and gear. I really like his record section as well. Very nice condition records, no garbage, and the prices are very good. I've bought gear and records there and I would not hesitate to do so in the very near future. 5 stars!

He is the most experienced and knowledgeable Hi Fi guy in the area. Also has expertise in guitars and amps. If you are interested in a truly epic sound system for any budget, this is the place. There are always some awesome older model speakers people have traded in for new. Check it out. Very low key and mellow shop with great service. He has no problem demoing any of his gear. Sorry for the ramble. The other one word "unprofessional" review pissed me off. Not true. I have been dealing with this shop for over a decade. Never been unhappy.
