All skill levels are catered to. We offer a wide selection of instruments both for the experienced player and for those just starting. Choose from an assortment of bows and accessories to match your instrument. Consider a second bow, not just as a back-up, but also to help reduce arm fatigue by using a bow that has a different weight and balance point. You might be surprised by what a difference in sound a bow can make. Try out various combinations of chinrests and shoulder rests until the instrument feels just right.
Services
If you are looking for an instrument from a particular supplier or manufacturer, please ask. We deal with many suppliers. A note about pricing and labels: The prices indicated are generally based on the costs to acquire an instrument and the subjective opinion of that instrument's sound quality. Quotation marks (" ") in the listings indicate information that is being quoted from the label. The accuracy of the label is not guaranteed.
Either provide valid credit card info OR leave a security deposit equal to 20% of purchase price. The security deposit may be applied to ownership if you decide to buy the instrument. Remember: Maintenance is always included and 100% of the rental fees are applied to ownership of the current instrument.
This cannot be emphasized enough. Your instrument is made of wood, and just like any other piece of wood, it will swell in the summer and shrink in the winter. In summer, this swelling can be so extreme that you will not be able to turn the pegs. Do not rely solely on fine tuners for your tuning. At least once a week, Turn Your Pegs.

I highly recommend renting your instrument from Werner. On top of incredible depth of knowledge in his field, we could ask for no better advocate for a musician. He has been fair and understanding with us and our 7-year-old daughter from the very first day we went to his shop, and over the years has helped us pick new instruments when our girl outgrew old ones - as well as patiently repairing all the oopses that sometimes come part and parcel to being a young violinist.
