I visited O Di Bella Music store for the very first time on yesterday. My son's music teacher referred us to O Di Bella's to make a repair on my son's saxophone. I was greeted as soon as I entered the store and was offered assistance by Justin. Justin was professional, kind and courteous as well as empathic in that I was unclear where my son had a broken piece on his saxophone.
I asked Justin if he was okay with me FaceTiming my son and he was more than fine and he quickly assessed where the broken piece. Not only that, it was fixed while I waited. As Justin explained to me how my son can prevent from bending the piece again, I asked if I could please FaceTime my son once again and Justin was more than accommodating. My son understands how he needs to carefully anchor the top piece on the base of his saxophone to prevent damaging it again.
The service was exceptional and I recommend O Dibella's for all of your instrument needs. Mike DiBella was gracious as well as kind and courteous too. Thank you for providing exceptional service.

We rented a violin for my daughter here. They never offered me the school discount which is $160 for the year for basically a band instrument. They do not maintain their instruments and I ended up paying $400 for tue year rental. When I went to a violin rental shop in Tenafly they showed me that there was a crack and repair in that same terrible rental. So Do NOT rent your string instruments from this place. I'm furious that they took advantage of me and gave terrible service. They do not care.

I had a great experience getting my clarinet and flute repaired here. Tony Park was great. He really took his time with my instruments, did a thorough job. He was also able to accommodate me due to the long drive, and was able to work on my instruments while there. He is a pleasant individual to work with as well.

This is a class at teaching music and getting everything you need to play an instrument. From the day my son came in for his first drum lesson with Russ it has been pure magic watching him grow and learn the craft of the drums. When you walk in the store your treated like family. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Love this local music store. Used to rent instruments for my daughters and bought my guitar there. Always a great service, above and beyond. Came this morning to ask for help with changing strings and tuning a Charango I bought in Peru. Justin worked on it for a while and also on my guitar and when I was about to pay, I realized it is a part of their service. Thank you Justin and thank you O Di Bella for being there exactly when I need it.

My biggest complaint is that they have the absolute worst return policy in the music industry of 7 days. Guitar Center gives you 45 days just as an example. That in itself is enough to keep me from making any future purchases there. Sweetwater is hands down the best in the business with free tech support, an additional year warranty, and free shipping. Not to mention their outstanding customer service.

O Di Bella Music is great! They offer a wide product selection and go above and beyond to satisfy the customer. I was very impressed with their exceptional service to guide me in my American Professional II Telecaster purchase. I plan to use them again. They are highly recommended for any musical need!

Had a guitar setup as well as locking tuners drilled and installed on another. Couldn't speak any higher of the product quality and customer service. I was definitely a pain in the ass customer and Jim looked out for the guitar's best interest as well as mine. Will definitely be back for any service needed. Plus they are a Mesa dealer which is great for me.

I can't say enough good things about O. DiBella Music. I specifically dealt with Tom M. who really went above and beyond with customer service. I wanted to order an item that that was out of stock in the shop, but Tom was good enough to place a special order for me and keep me updated as to status. When it came in, he not only gave me a phenomenal price, but overnight shipped it across the Hudson to Long Island to me for free as a thank you for waiting for the product to come in stock (stock delays were from the company that made the product in this post-Covid world, not O. DiBella. It's nice to know that there's such a solid shop with stand up dudes that are dealers for some companies I use that are not so far from my house. I'd highly recommend them and will be getting all my tubes (and other items) from these guys. Thanks again Tom, you're the man!

Brought my clarinet in long due repair. I talked to the tech (Tony?) about my concerns; he seemed knowledgeable and successfully fixed all problems in under 2 hours. After play-testing and inspecting it myself, the repair job seemed to be of very high quality. Price was very fair and customer service was also good. Very glad to have found a good repair place nearby!

The staff was friendly, asked if we needed help several times, and even offered to order a specific tablature book for me. They definitely answered our questions. The store contained a great selection of guitars and books. I would have loved to see more ukuleles, but I know they're nowhere near as popular as guitars. I also found a great microphone holder here that really grips the mic I was unable to find elsewhere. *I updated my review from a 3 to a 4 after my second visit a few weeks ago*

The store is a bit disorganized - There aren't many signs/prices/descriptions on the equipment, so an associate would have to come over and help you. This would've been helpful, if a store associate even did that. When I walked in, one of the guys at the desk saw me, but didn't even acknowledge me. When I walked to the section I was interested in, I tried to decipher the difference between the different pieces of equipment, I was unsuccessful because there weren't any description tags.
Some of the keyboards looked old/used, but there were no tags/signs indicating that. Considering that they knew I was in the store, and didn't even offer a "hello" or "do you have any questions" after my spending several minutes in the store, I decided to leave. No customers were at the counter, and not one person said "thank you for coming" when I walked out.
This is a poor example of customer service, and as someone who is newly entering music production, a poor way to help them find comfort/understanding among the array of equipment choices. Also, as a local who has known of the store for years, they were my first choice to visit because local business support is important to me. Unfortunately based on the way I was received in the store, I'll never return. Situations like these are why people buy products online instead.

I can't believe I haven't written a review for O DIBella yet; we've been doing business with them for over a decade. Their prices are competitive with the big box music stores, and, even if they weren't, it is a resource that would be worth far more than they charge. From regular maintenance on my wife's cello, to keeping my 40+ year old Yamaha classical guitar supplied, to helping us pick out our grandson's first guitar, they always put the customer first, and their advice has been so spot on that I have learned to just take their recommendations, because after I do research, it's going to turn out that they were right in the first place.

Sometimes repairs take longer than expected. But sometimes it's not as easy as soldering a cable or cleaning a contact. Sometimes getting parts from the maker (ahem Casio) can take FOREVER. While I feel the repair could have been faster and the customer service better, one man really saved the day, the manager Harry. Harry realized that I had been given misinformation in the beginning and he worked to resolve it, even loaning me a keyboard while the repair tech waited for Casio to get the part to them.
This folks, is why mom and pop shops like Odibella are still in business. I had written a scathing review before but was compelled to change my opinion. Mistakes happen, employees are rude but leaders step up and fix it. Thank you Harry for making it right.

This is my go to place for all my musical needs. I'm a professional guitarist and am very active with recording, competitions, gigging, etc. I am also frequently stopping by to get gear, accessories, and setups. They always seem to have what I need and if they don't have it they usually can order it and get it in with a good turnaround time.
They do the best setups on my guitars and really take care of their customers. This is a much better place to go to than any other chain music store like a Guitar Center for example, since the people that work here actually are helpful and know the equipment they are dealing with. Also, they don't JUST deal with guitars, I see a lot of families coming in with their kids for band instruments, there's a wide selection of sheet music, pro audio, and a lot more. They also offer private lessons for most instruments at the lower level of the store (which is where I first started years ago). Overall, I very highly recommend this store

Bought a Marshall DSL 100 from them a couple years back from their ebay store when I lived in Boston. It arrived DOA. Called them up immediately and told them I still want the amp and I'll try new preamp tubes which they said okay to. Didn't work so I called them again and told them what was up. In lieu of returning the amp they agreed to pay up to $100 for the repair of it.
I went and got it repaired and the bill was $90 or so (tech said something was fried on the circuit board that was like that for awhile) When I emailed them the bill they refused to reimburse me. Got into the argument (I believe with Joe) and was called profanities and said I modded the amp and I was a liar. The worst part is that I grew up near the store and always tried to give my money to the mom and pop instead of the Sam Ash or Guitar Centers of the world. I also used to get bass lessons from them as a kid so it's annoying knowing that you went out of your way to help them out and then they just decide to screw you.
