I could not play my acoustic. I didn't know what action and truss rods were, but now I do. Diane lowered the action on my guitar, adjusted to truss rod and I picked it up today. The difference is like night and day. It is simply AMAZING to me that I can now play it. The notes ring true and chords sound like they are meant to. My original action was so high but as a beginner, I didn't know what it means.
Now the strings are so close to the fretboard that I don't kill myself pushing them down. Thank you Diana for a professional, effective job - and it is always good to talk to you bout music!

Payed up front for a months worth of guitar lessons, had no problem with that, unit she made me buy to music books from her store, when I explained I have shelves full, another 16 dollars, at my age I felt I was to old to be learning music and just wanted to learn a couple songs and practice, learning music is the reason I always gave it up, had two lessons, the second lesson was the exact same as the first going thru something so quickly I could not keep up, do to being very sick I called to reschedule my appointment was told then and then you have already payed and she would not reschedule it was your loss, so much for the small town small business, I'm in business for myself, I have to cancel appointments but no one gets charged for it, the next time she makes a doctor's appointment and keep it I hope they charge her, I do not recommend this business what so ever, get on line and Google lessons there's lots of people to give you better lessons at no cost

It is kind of disappointing that there is not much of a percussion variety, but although it seems very home feely and a lot of great electrical guitars, basses, and many more. I personally enjoy visiting the place as I a drumist/percussionist I wish they had a little bit more variety to the percussion side. Please try to add more of whatever you can. I feel like that would make the drum side better. But besides that it's great for pianos and many others!

Rockbridge Music is a relatively small shop, in terms of instrument selection. Some new, some used, and it doesn't seem to be a authorized dealer for any major brands. However, they are jammed to the gills with musical supplies, and if you need something for your ax in a pinch, they'll most likely have it. They also do repairs, and they're pretty friendly, as well. I am reasonably certain that they are the only guitar shop between Harrisonburg and Roanoke; thank you for being there, Rockbridge Music.

We were just passing through downtown Lexington when we found this place. Very impressed by their collection of higher end banjos and mandos. The nylon fingerpicking guitarist in me didn't find too much in terms of selection but my wife the uke player had a ball playing some very nice instruments. She left with a very nice snail uke strapped to her back. Staff was knowledgeable and courteous, and they may even let your dog in with you if you ask nicely. Highly recommended.
