I am absolutely blown away by the wonderful job this company did. They far exceeded my expectations! I wanted my daughter to be able to play my late wife's saxophone, for as long my daughter plays the saxophone. My wife passed away in Jan 2018, so the instrument meant more to us than just an instrument. I want her to be able to pass it down to her kids someday However, since my wife played that sax in Jr High School, High School and Collage Band 30ish years ago, it was really worn down and alot of the finish was damaged.
It wouldn't have made for a good performance instrument, only because of how bad it looked (it played fine). Eventually, my daughter would have been embarrassed by it, only because of how the other kids had nice shinny saxophones and hers wasn't. (we all know kids like to make fun of things like that). Therefore, at some point, she would have wanted one that didn't look like it did.
So after alot of research, I was able to find Band Instrument Repair Specialists. Unlike my local repair shop, they could repair, refurbish AND refinish. Finding some who should refinish instruments was the hard part. It turned out better than I could have hoped for. I feel like crying with tears of joy. Yes, it cost a significant portion of the price of a new saxophone, but it was worth it.
The past and future memories made this this sax made 3 times the price well worth it. It looked so new, I actually checked the serial number, just to make sure it was the same sax (and it was). If you have an instrument, that means alot more than just being an instrument, and need it restored, I highly recommend this place!
