Services
Each guitar we build is hand-wired with silver solder, and all of the pickups and hardware we use are proprietary, all in an effort to replicate the look, overall charm, and feel of the original 1960's instruments. Please note: pearl, cream, mint or gold pickguards are available at additional charge of $35.
All of our Teardrop guitar bodies are made of solid mahogany. Our necks are crafted out of some of the finest hard-rock maple found anywhere. Additionally, we offer fingerboards that are beautifully and skillfully made, and the high-gloss yellowed finish that protects each of our instruments is both beautiful and functional.
After a great deal of development, testing and fine tuning, Phantom Guitar Works introduces it's new Tremolo! All Phantom & Teardrop models that feature tremoloes will be built with using our own trems. These can also be purchased separately as a replacement for worn-out or poor-functioning vintage tremoloes.
Being an avid collector of both JMI (Jennings Musical Instruments from the Golden Era of the 1960's) amps and guitars, it has always been a frustration to not be able to buy the proper plastic corners for my vintage amplifiers. Assuming there are more of my types out there, PGW spent 2 years making our reproduction corners.

I purchased 4 guitars and 1 bass - all black Phantoms, for my band to have a uniform on-stage appearance while gigging. The quality was virtually flawless - intonation was spot on, string height was optimal, electronics worked without the slightest glitch anywhere. Definitely worth the money, and today 12 years later, still delighted with this purchase.
