These guys at the DW factory are 100% awesome! Brent went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my new kit, answered all my questions, very patient and kind, and we talked drum talk! First time a drum company has treated me like royalty and I didn't even buy the high end kit! highly recommended by me, amazing people, and the drums are awesome too. thanks Brent and the guys at DW in Oxnard California KJ

3/20 My experience during a call to DW DRUMS, I had what turned out to be a complicated question, during my conversation, I even offered to get the info elsewhere but Mr M, as i will call him knew It was futile, He said it was a unique question and he would take care of it himself, physically going to the wherehouse and taking measurements, then emailing me, In my book that is great customer service, Especially after he learned the parts I needed were not for DW Drums but for another Famous brand, I thought his tone would change when he found out but his willingness to help never waned even though I tested his patience a bit, and as usual during moments like this, my ADHD struck again Creating awkward moments, nevertheless he remained cool. I look forward to visiting the showroom and buying a full Drum kit to go with all my hardware in the future, Thank you DW & Mr M.

As an employee of DW, "Made in America " we get off work 1 hour early tomorrow because we met the production goal. As we do every month. However, many of the factory workers, some 15 years plus haven't received a wage increase in years. And make at most $15 an Hr. So while you bang on those 5 piece $5000 kits know that this company exploits it's workers every chance it gets. Enjoy

I admit, I play Tama, but if I wasn't playing them, I'd be playing Drum Workshop. The products are high-quality, the site has factory tours, the introduction of the Pacific and Collectors Series Drums makes their product affordable to students and working musicians, and the customer service is absolutely friendly. Heck, I had to do a job as a vendor for them back in the day and they treated me with courtesy and respect instead of being like "WORK FASTER RAWR!" Wonderful organization and if you are looking to purchase a drum set, I would tell you to put DW Drums near or at the top of the list.

DW (Drum Workshop) does free factory tours on Thursdays at 2 pm. Check out their website and make sure to call in advance to reserve your space. The tour is about 1.5-2 hours, which includes a tour of the factory by guide including a chance to see them tune their drums, cut and bend the wood for the drums, and paint them. The tour ends with time to play in their showroom, which includes several collector's edition drum sets.
At this factory (their HQ), they only make performance and collector's edition sets and hardware. They do own LP and a few other brands, but those are all made elsewhere. Overall, if you're into drums, this is a great tour that will give you a background on how one of the top American drum manufacturers makes their product.

I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday so he can ejaculate on all of their drums. We took a free tour, which only happens once a week I believe, so it's crucial that you reserve your spot. Not surprisingly, I was the only girl on the tour. It started pretty much on time. I don't have much of an interest in drums but the tour was pretty entertaining.
You can take pictures most of the time, except in the painting (?) room where artists paint custom designs on drums for their famous drummer clients. The tour guide was knowledgeable, and made it very clear that every single person working there was passionate about the products and satisfying their customers. I recommend the tour to anyone who likes DW or drums in general. Even if you're not into drums, it's a neat experience to see just how these expensive instruments are produced.

One of the newer great American drum companies. I own a couple of their snare drums (a 2006 Craviotoo and a collectors chrome on brass). Their drums are decent, but the pricing is just to the right of outrageous. List pricing on snare drums @1800 bucks? Most working drummers cannot afford to buy their drums. I just wish you could go and order up drums in the sizes and finishes you want, without the wait and horrendous pricing. Unfortunately, most other drum companies are doing the same thing.
