The people who work here are complete elitists. If you don't have a $15k instrument they will repeatedly refer to your instrument as "cheap" and make comments like "If you ever want to upgrade to a decent instrument make sure you come back and see us." My instrument is $2k so perhaps in the grand scheme of things it is on the lower end, but I don't at all understand their sales tactic of trying to belittle you and your instrument. It was such a poor experience, both in-store and on the phone. Go someplace that doesn't make you feel less than.

Pretty disappointed in all honesty. I was recommended this place by other music stores around town that couldn't provide what I needed. The selection of the instruments and accessories seemed to be impressive! What was most disappointing was the customer service. There was a very nice woman upfront, sadly losing her voice, but was sweet the whole time! Mike, was not.
To avoid a novel, wording is key! There's no need to constantly criticize someone's instrument, constantly tell them to return it because it won't work, and then try to just sell their inventory. He seemed knowledgeable when he spoke of the instrument, but to only push for a sale, sad. After leaving something there and returning to get it, the additional comment of "did you take it back?" Was not needed. A fellow musician should encourage, not discourage and try to push a sale. As a salesman, if your customer wants a peg, just sell them a peg.

I couldn't be happier with the Ibanez semi-hollowbody guitar I just bought from Graner! Kyle and Glen have it set up and playing like a dream, and Kyle also installed upgraded pickups for me. Flawless, expert work! The extended layaway option also helped immensely. It's great to support this independent store that has been in the area so long.

After a tediously long search for a legitimate instrument repair shop (first made matters worse, second refused to do the repair, third offensively overpriced and kept trying to up-sell marked up string packs and an incredibly expensive setup, all of which I didn't want/need) in Colorado Springs, finally stopped in Graner Music--this is the only local music store I will visit from now on!
I was immediately greeted by Kyle and other staff members, then kindly directed to the guitar wall/repair area. Aside from the spot-on welcome, I immediately noticed how clean and organized the store was with a wide selection of pianos, guitars, basses, drums, etc. for all levels from beginner to expert, as well as a TON of accessories for almost everything. Details I notice, as I used to work in a music equipment retail shop (Skips Music, Sacramento) during high school. Explained the issue to one of the other repair techs, while Kyle started taking a look.
They politely informed me it'd be about a week out, as they're rather busy with repairs, which was no problem at all and this also tells me they're in high demand. About 4 days later, I get a call from Kyle who narrowed down the issue through proper troubleshooting techniques. This is something other local shops surprisingly couldn't figure out.
I got a replacement part quickly ordered, coordinated with Kyle to do the swap, and a day later (during Thanksgiving week, keep that in mind!) he was done. They charged an incredibly fair price in my opinion, and did absolutely solid work. Kyle was the star here in this experience, but due to my interactions with other staff members, I can confidently assume that everyone at Graner Music values what they're doing and it shows. Thank you again to Kyle for his expertise and finally getting my guitar sorted out when no one else in Colorado Springs could!

Rental beware! I started a rent to own process about 2015 payed on the instrument for about 4 years and thought so myself hmmm how much is a viola? And why have I payed about $1000 for this one? Their response was wow you definitely don't owe us anymore money, you over paid, however we do not offer refunds! Wait what? If you do not pay attention they will just keep taking your money and not give it back. Two stars because at least they were nice about. So now I have an instrument that was way over priced.

I absolutely love Graner Music. Charlotte Baker, the owner, is incredibly professional, knowledgeable and personable. If I have ever had a less than stellar experience, they were more than stellar in making it right immediately. Their prices are very reasonable, especially for the rental of their exceptional recital hall. I am consistently amazed!

They have a good rental program where they put some of your payment towards the purchase of an instrument. It's nice to not feel like you're throwing your money away renting something. The customer service is good. The staff is pretty knowledgeable. It's also nice to have lessons in the same place so if there are any issues with the instrument you can have them addressed.

Rude sales dude kept ringing my sales lady asking how much longer I, the paying customer, was going to be there. If it wasn't because I needed my part quickly, I would have left without buying. The sales lady was very nice, but I'm mad at myself I paid double the regular price for the privilege. I will never come back.

Dedication and compassion for music and giving kids the best experience in starting their musical endeavor shines through their customer service. Very Professional in dealing with any issues with instruments. We've bought most of our instruments from them to include a clarinet, flute, electric drum-set, and looking at pianos and guitars as future instruments. Graner is also well connected with music programs in the local area through school districts and local bands. Definite 5-Star recommendation for Graner's products and services.
