Tuscaloosa Music Service was set up in 1964 by Cliff Hurter and his wife, Mary. What began primarily as a band instrument store evolved with the times into what has become a very popular place for school and combo clients throughout Alabama and Mississippi. We are West Central Alabama's biggest band instrument dealer. Our service department is 2nd to none.

We tried to buy an instrument for our child today. We went when it was listed as open, but they were closed. We tried to call the number listed in case they were closed for lunch or something, but the number was disconnected. We bought elsewhere.

Went in looking for flutes. They didn't have any available for purchase. The guy said he would take my number and call with what they could order. Long story short. I never received a call.

In my experience, their luthier (maybe guitar tech) has done Excellent work on guitars and basses from regular maintenance to problems only an expert can acknowledge and fix. Also helpful in how to best maintain the instruments in the future. Customer service is also great: not overbearing and knowledgable when I have ever had questions.
