Services
Union Music offers expert repair services for most instruments and electronic equipment. We use our network of skilled luthiers and experienced technicians to provide top-notch repairs in a timely manner and at a reasonable cost with the help of our extensive parts inventory. Union Music is a Fender Authorized Service Center for acoustic guitars, electric guitars, and amplifiers.
We frequently buy used gear that we believe is in demand or is special in some way. The price often depends on how much work the item needs before we can offer it to our customers. All woodwinds and horns are sent out to be professionally cleaned; guitars often require new strings or a complete setup.
Union Music has a relationship with Synchrony Bank such that we are able to offer a Synchrony Bank Credit Card at the time of your purchase. There are a number of programs, some interest free. Apply right here, right now! A "Layaway" enables a customer to make smaller payments on an expensive item until it is paid off.
You can purchase a Gift Certificate here electronically, or come to the store and purchase a store card in any amount. When you purchase here, you will receive an email with the Gift Certificate; you can either forward the email or print it out.

The widest selection of music equipment in Worcester. I prefer shopping locally over Guitar Center, and this place makes it easy to find what you need!

Had my keyboard for about 2 weeks to repair some clacky keys. About a week or two later the keys were back to where they were and seems as though minimal repairs were made. I frankly expected more for the price they charged and time it was there. They do, however, care about their business and it is a good place to shop at. Edit: The store contacted me and I'm going to bring it back in and see what they can do.

This place has a decent selection of equipment. However, I went into the store last week, walked around 40 minutes, and was never greeted or asked if I wanted/needed any assistance. I felt unwelcome if I didn't know what I was doing.

Love it he store. It has a nice collection of instruments coming in and out. Some consignment guitars and basses. Great people, and they don't try to sell you when your browsing!

Union has been the place our family has gone for years for everything from guitars to strings to even kazoos. This year we bought a new Yamaha for our youngest son making it four generations to have the privilege of shopping at Union Music. They may not be as big as some soulless chain store (you know the one) but they are real musicians selling quality to anyone who has a heart to learn. Also they have lessons for all ages but no judgment if you don't know how to do something. Remember small business is best

Some of the stuff is a little overpriced, but when your only competition is Guitar Center the next town over, it's not easy to have similar prices. It's worth supporting a local music shop. Plus, the staff are always nice. Pretty sure the owner works there every day.

I've been going here for years. Have nothing but good buys and good repair experiences here. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, they even hooked me up with a same day repair which I needed to facilitate a deadline. They'll definitely continue to have my business

The store as a whole is great. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable, the instrument selection is always changing and well taken care of. However, when I've had work done on my guitars I was less than impressed. I had a setup done on one guitar that really wasn't up to snuff, and a refretting on another guitar that was sloppy and damaged the guitar. I still shop there for strings and other supplies, but as far as having work done I'm looking elsewhere.

I had been looking for a specific guitar and they had what I wanted through consignment. Went there on a whim, very satisfied. Very attentive owner and staff. I will definitely be back soon.

If you're looking for real knowledgeable staff/musicians that can guide you through any questions or concerns you may have, this is the place to go. Forget the big corporate stores who hire anyone to work there as long as they can fill their schedule. I buy my gear and accessories here knowing I'm getting exactly what I need with the best people standing behind it. I also bring all my guitars, electronics and speakers here for tune ups and repairs. This place and all the people in it are awesome!

Yes; very nice music store. Friendly knowledgeable helpful staff. No rush. Take your time. Sample to find what you like. Every time I stop by when I'm in the area (and it has been quite a few over the years with purchases and repairs) I'm always glad I did. Great for all musicians from big to small.

I just came to Worcester for 2 weeks and have already purchased a martin guitar and a amplifier in the store. It is definitely the best store I have ever been. Both the quantity and the quality are great. And the people here are so nice. You can just take your time to try different kinds of staff with no pressure. And if you have question, these guys will give you exactly what you want to know and the greatest recommendation. Also, the price is affordable~~ I will definitely choose to buy everything I need for music in this store!~~~

Nice selection of new and used instruments. Acoustic room is much better than average. I ordered a USA G&L through them, and was very happy with the service and price. They offer consignment on used gear. They aren't a Fender or Gibson dealer, but are a big Taylor and Martin dealer. I wish they carried a wider selection of amps. They have practice and studio space available.

Union Music is the OPPOSITE of the giant big box franchise and chain stores across the country. Here you will only find warm, experienced musicians that are knowledgeable and extremely helpful. There are some really incredible musicians on staff for instrument lessons. The private rehearsal space is very reasonable also. Unique to this type of music store (small and independent) is that they frequently have some really interesting and unique clinics and free group lessons where they actually let you use their instruments (djembe or ukelele for example) to learn from a professional on site, in the store!

One of my favorite things about this store is the owner Carl Kamp. Aside from being a really talented guitarist and all around musician, Carl personally stands by every transaction that takes place in the store. Should an issue arise, Carl will go our of his way to make it right. You don't get that kind of personal attention at a big box chain store.

Ya know there's something about the service and quality that you get at your GOOD local music store. These guys are the best. good selection and fair prices. Super helpful and all around nice folks. The repair dept is outstanding and the acoustic room is nothing short of unreal! They stand behind their products and even offer awesome clinics and lessons!

How cool is that! You wont find this sort of service at Guitar Center where all they do is make the sale and then they dont want to know you! There's nothing they have that union music cant get for you while still treating you like a person! This is the reason I shop here exclusively!

This place is a real gem, IMO. The staff here is knowledgeable, and helpful, and doesn't pressure you. Well worth a 40 mile drive from Boston. There aren't a lot of places out there (and I mean anywhere) where the help can accurately describe to you what every single knob on a Peavey Bandit amp does! They also answer email inquiries promptly and accurately.

The prices here on new gear are quite good and if you are a G&L or ESP fan (I'm the former) - you'll be delighted with the selection. Prices on the used stuff is decent - you'll be able to better it on eBay or at GC I'm sure, but it seems they only accept used stuff that is in good, operational condition. I'd feel comfortable buying used from them. I'm very, very impressed with the quality of the setups they do on their guitars.

This would be a great place to take a beginner guitarist. The only downsides to this place are the rather limited selection for new guitar gear and that it inhabits a particularly gritty area of the post-industrial landscape that is Worcester.

This is believe it or not one of the better music stores that I've been to. Usually I'm not big on a lot of non corporate music stores because the selection is pretty small, but they had some good stuff, especially pre-owned. Bought a $400 used ride cymbal for my drumset here, one of the best cymbals I've ever owned. Didn't really test the knowledge of the staff at all, I didn't really need them, so I can't speak to that, but like I said they had a solid selection. Tried to sell some things here, but didn't. I'm not really going to fault them for that, music stores anywhere ever, will try to really undercut the value of your stuff if you try to sell it through them. Everybody's got to try to make a profit right?
